There is no such thing as good dance music.

Dance music is absolute rubbish.

DCFC has spoken.
Obviously related to Dodongo.

I think that is a long bow to draw, Rip!

True, I should have qualified that with "... in the United States, specifically with the likes of The Eagles and Creedence. However, in Australia, rock was perfected in the early-80s by the likes of Cold Chisel and Australian Crawl."

Homer was referring specifically to Rock Music in the United States, therefore (in the Australian context) my original argument still stands.

Thanks for your interest! ;)

If this keeps up you'll have to hand back your membership, your beige cardigan, felt hat, driving gloves, keys to the Volvo and pet registration papers.

While talking about dance music, can someone please tell me which Ar$ehole$ have done that god awful version of Mi-Sex's classic "Computer Games". I've heard it a couple of times and if I hear it again I'm going to go on a rampage. It is putrid.

As for them getting a license next year, I would not be so sure of it happening next year. The first time I had ever heard of these stations in 1998, they were expecting the Australian Broadcasting Authority to give out the licenses. But the ABA keep on saying that their have been delays, and they keep on saying that the licenses will be given out next year.

What I am trying to say is that it is not a certainty that the ABA will give out full time licenses next year, because the ABA say every year that they will give them out, but they never do. Again, this year the ABA were meant to give them out, but now I believe that because of the election, the decision has been delayed, and it will be given out next year. For one reason or another, their is always a delay, and it will probably happen again next year.

It is highly unlikely that the ABA will give out licenses next year. Why? Since yesterday, I have had 4 different sources telling me that the full time license decisions will be made before the end of this year. I am led to believe that Kix fm and Hitz fm will never broadcast again after their broadcasts are over, unless they get a license. The same goes for Pulse fm.

Kiss 90 fm, another Dance music station are meant to be on air soon, but I am led to believe that the coming broadcast for them will also be their last.

It is about time the ABA made their decisions regarding the full time licenses, and it looks like they are about to do so. Expect an announcement on the full time stations next month.
