The only way we're winning this is if McGovern, Barrass and Hurn clash heads under a high ball that is our stock standard inside 50 delivery and all get concussion, Gaff one punches Luke Shuey trying to hit Butters, and Kennedy and Darling both roll their ankles in comically funny style celebrating a goal.

That's basically what happened to Richmond last week and they still beat us.

Just remembered we have a pretty good record playing the reigning premiers

2013 Beat Sydney Rd 13 at Footy Park - in the wet with no Boak
2014 Beat Hawks Rd 8 at AO
2015 Beat Hawks Rd 4 at AO - that scintillating 1st quarter game
2016 Lose Hawks Rd 16 at AO - injury toll had hit us by this stage of season
2017 Beat Doggies Rd 22 at Ballarat
2018 Beat Richmond Rd 12 at AO

The 2015 win against Hawks we were also missing Gray and Wines.

No matter what happens with this result, we lose.

If we win, it will justify Hinkley's s**t selection policy.

If we lose, Hinkley will blame Marshall and say 'Oh well, I can't bring in Lienert because he didn't play last week, but Motlop had a good game...'
Lienert, Mayes & Ladhams all played for the Maggie's. AJ is the travelling emergency.

Power’s burning question: Can their quicker, more exciting style rattle the Eagles?

Port this season has morphed into a more direct outfit in 2019. Ken Hinkley’s men this season are ranked second in the league for playing on after a mark — a dramatic rise from 17th in 2018. But on Friday night they come up against the most disciplined team in the league with ball in hand. The Eagles kick, marks and use the boundary when coming out of defensive 50 more than most sides in the competition. So it’ll be a battle of two contrasting styles. However the Eagles seem to have mastered their style at Optus Stadium, making it hard to see the Power causing an upset.

This new quick exciting style is such a myth. We played 1 game V Melbourne in which we were exciting with our ball movement, a Melbourne who were massively underdone and completely fell apart on the outside. Since then we've played static, garbage footy exactly like last year.
