Good Friday Gaming

Having a few people over on Friday for a bash at a few games. Hopefully we can get a big enough gang together for Battlestar Galactica and a few others.

Good work Chief. Been dragged away to Robe by the missus with some friends she's made. (back for the game Sunday).

Will be taking Dominion and/or Catan to see if they bite on our gaming bent.

No point having friends if they won't boardgame!

Carcassonne & Ticket to Ride are our go to games for newbies. Easy to learn and haven't met anyone who disliked either.

We ended up playing Zombie Dice (Lots of times) Tsuro, Shadows Over Camelot, and Small World on iPad pass and play. Can't imagine playing Small World on a board, the accounting looks tedious.

Played stock standard Catan down in Robe. Got the other couple hooked.

Tsuro has a dragon on the cover. Maybe the idea is that you're flying a dragon but you are moving your piece around the board trying not to fall off the edge or hit anyone else.

Yeah that's the one. You keep looping around etc.
Wasn't sure if it was a tabletop ep, a mate explaining it, or a mate regurgitating a tabletop ep - but they explained the game as if you are guiding a flying dragon that needs to not bang into the other players dragons or something.
