Is Good Friday the most boring day of the year?

I always find myself bored shitless on Good Friday. Too much time, too little stuff to do.

Apart from some stores being closed why is it different to any other weekday? Play golf, hang out with family and friends, BBQ, have a few drinks etc.

As a kid I couldnt figure out how Jesus only lived 3 or 4 months.

Dont mind the day at all.

Road 30kms on my bike this morning and only one car overtook me.

Bliss.

It was much more pronounced when I was a child.
I would sit around and do nothing all day.

Now as an adult (Sort of) I have a similar conundrum. It is a day off, and therefore, I want to relax.
Relaxing on Good Friday is crap. Guess I'll clean my car...

pretty much all the shops around here are open. the pub is open... just went and had a nice meat pie at the cake shop. any shops that aren't open will be open tomorrow.

you guys wouldn't survive in ireland. the country literally stops on good friday and christmas day. no shops at all, no pubs, no nothing. i didn't realise it would be like that on christmas day. survived christmas day on about a quarter box of cereal a few years back.

And really is it that much of an outcry to have an AFL match- is pretty annoying that people get so sensitive about it.
NRL have their game today and so why cant the AFL- my religion is the AFL so how is your religion more important then mine that you stop it today.
