Wow the Match committee are being extremely tough on the kid, Dropped him after playing collingwood, twice! How is that meant to build confidence? Talk about scape goating, didn't give him much chance playing Joseph in the back line, rather than playing a loose man in defense we played one short.

On the other side good to see Davies back in the side, he played some Fantastic Footy late last year. Hope he has a good end of the year!

It's just a learning curve.

I think the key would have been communicating well with him.
Being a key position backmen you really can't expect him to be super switched on and Collingwood are a great team.. I think matty actually kicked well on the weekend sure he turned it over but there were a couple of times teammates didnt commit to the contest as well.
It's okay, don't freak out it happens in every grade of footy.

Yeah I am not too freaked out, I just think it's harsh to not play him against rubble sides, bring him in for the best side, then give him the ass.

IMHO the MC couldnt of handled this kid worse in his first season of AFL. Two of his three games have been against a rampaging Collingwood in front of 80,000+ at the MCG.

An optimist would say that it's a baptism of fire. A pessimist would say that you couldn't of planned a better way to ruin the kids confidence.
