Good luck for Monday, I hope we see a good game and no injuries.

Crows look set for a big season, you showed some strength and consistency last year, and again in the pre-season. Those finals losses come down mostly to luck and timing (and as I Pie believe me I know all about that). I guess you'll be looking for another good hard run at it. Craig certainly seems to get his boys fit: and to think people (including me) were calling him a stop gap political appointment when he started.

I hope we can give a decent account of ourselves. Funnily enough I think there's more pressure on us than you. We really need to prove something after two bad seasons. The Crows are playing away so a win will be a bonus, but no one will write you off if you lose. Its a nice position to be in: a good side in good form with good fitness, but less pressure than say West coast or Sydney are facing. (Of course we all wish we had Sydney's problem, dealing with a possible premiership hangover is my ailment of choice)

We have a good record against your mob and I'm proud of that because you're solid and any win has to be earnt. I hope we can earn one on Monday, and at the very least I want to see 4 quarters of hard footy.

cheers Cyclops and good luck for the season

Cyclops,

I think you're right in a odd way there is more pressure on you. If we lose, it won't derail or change much of our expectations on the season. you need a good performance to put last season behind you.

Of course it should be the other way around.

:thumbsu: to the good sportsmanship. Good luck to you as well.

Ill admit, i always get nervous when we play Collingwood because of the record they have against us. The pies are one of the teams that always seemed to have the wood on us (except for the second time last year).

Thats because Buckley was always allowed to run riot against us, with the coach giving that old lame excuse that "all his possessions are in the back half and don't really hurt you". Crap, he used to kill us.

Its no coincidence that since he has waned / been better controlled, we suddenly start beating the Pies.

thanks mate, its always nice to read an unbiased view !! i was at the game in round 2 last year, not sure if you were either but for both our sakes i hope we get to witness some decent skills in this upcoming game, at points it was comical !!!

Either of us could have won the game that day and i honestly beleive that either team is very capable of winning monday. I hope Rocca has a great season......beginnining from round 2 of course......... he is a massive part of your teams chances !!! Good luck

I always see Collingwood as a very proud Victorian club, all you have to do is look at their record against the interstate sides to see that the pies usually lift when playing a non victorian side.
