Cannot for the life of me understand why we played Frampton.

Probably same amount of concern that should have been shown for both over the back end of this season.

Both really need a big preseason as they both look fantastic when they get around the ball, it's just getting the ball which is a problem. Fog defense has gone through the roof as well which is also worth noting.

Yeah, I can't either with Frampton. Feels like a devious plan for tanking which just blew up in their faces.

He does need to get more involved but Jones is playing in that graveyard HFF no mans land role that a lot of our team have really struggled with. Was sitting with the forwards at the half, would love to see him get some actual time on ball next week.

Good:
Sholl - Nothing needs to be said, found one there with a late pick though we already suspected that for weeks great to see a dominant performance.
First half - Best half of footy we've delivered in ages.
3 wins a row! Could easily have settled for 1 just to get it on the board but now it's pretty fair to say we could finish last but we are no where near the worst side.

There's plenty of other goods those are just the 3 main ones. Oh & I didn't think Butts looked too bad, another preseason and his body should be much more ready so should be a good project for next year.

Bad:
Second half we completely left the pressure that got us up by so much. Probably gassed out thus that area will need some real work.

Both showed good signs but didn't get enough of it. Jones in particular with a great mark and goal, but I'm not sure what we are doing with him.

Excited about our future again. Scholl is a gun.

If list sizes go to 35 we will be forced to go young. Other clubs will not have that luxury. Feel like this could help us move past a lot of clubs age profile wise much sooner than expected. Some good early picks this year and next as well.

Feels like the season only just started and now it’s over.

Ugly

We could actually lose pick 1 next weekend.

Berg continued with getting some grabs.
Got the win, but not by too much, good considering the same day flying, no injuries, tick, tick, tick
Are we ahead of Carlton in our dev? Helps to have half decent gameplan.
Butts got a good hit out.
Neither Fog nor Frampton are at tex replacement levels yet. When you look at Mackay's athleticism makes me think long and hard about McDonald and Tilthorpe, if they're to track anything like Mackay vs a mid.
Different ppl played well this week. Shoenberg also quite good.

i thought he was good in the 1st quarter.. but was deplorable for the rest of the game.

I don't have an issue with it as 3 years of SANFL break glass ruck depth. Beyond that we shouldn't be playing him now.

Frampton is a good 3rd tall and will always struggle when the opposition best defender plays on him. He can take a good mark but his goal kicking is hit and miss, would have had a reasonable game if he had kicked that sitter with 2 goals and gave one away early in the game.

Yes...second half was bad. But they showed some decent composure and a few nice passages of play to hang on...so better than a choke.

Pretty sure we assign dif ppl to dif roles week to week fairly commonly, Smith had a low key one this week, so did a few others, Keays, for example, Brouch, Jones played a bit of murphy up forward so his output was lower than usu.

He can get some time on ball when one of the other players is injured, even then maybe pass. He spudded it as fully on ball for weeks, needs to earn it. I want the combinations that have seen us look okay.
