i think that we did not play that good against the hawks , probaly just the last quarter was good . But all that matters is the four points.
WELL DONE BLUES!!!!!!

Do u think this win will lift the boys and give us some confidence???

Hmmm, I'm not really sure where we're at to be honest. We look..... unstable. Every week our side is being restructured and it's making it hard for our players to find consistently. I mean look at this week. No Fevola, no Livingston, then we drop Norman. It's like we only have 10 regulars in our side ATM. A lot of those 'regulars' are senior players who have been terrible this season. I'm talking about Whitnall, Lappin and Camporeale. Kouta is a clear standout from this group.

There are positives however. Our younger players are stepping up and playing major roles in our games this year. There are quite a few actually:
Waite
Walker
Thornton
Teague
Carazzo
Betts
Norman
Even Wiggins

As for last nights match, it was a case of the 'good, the bad and the ugly'. I must admit though, it was a pleasure to watch Kouta at his finest. I take my hat off to him.

THAT WAS A GREAT WIN!!!!!

WE BATTLED, WE HAD HEART, WE HAD DETERMINATION.

Any other team would've bloody gave up and lost by 10 goals!!!!!

I'm so friggen happy, because I was sitting infront of the most feralist Hawthorn supporters I have ever heard in my life from any club. Dad reckons they were the worse supporters he has heard in 35 years of going to the footy.

I don't know if I actually heard a correct English word from their mouth, they were bagging Carlton so much. Every player, calling them every word in the book. It was unbeliavable. The problem was though, I'd say they were on drugs. So we didn't want to give them to much as they were likely to stab us or something.

When we hit the front and won, that was 10 times better than Essendon's win because of the people I had behind me. They shut up, nearly crying. Unreal!

We were sitting beside a few Carlton supporters with whistle and they were fed up with the Hawks supporters, when the siren went we gave it to them so much.

Thank god we won.

Well done, we lost our heads, and you finished the game off....

Waite was impressive, Smith wasnt the answer and you took advantage of it.

French is a good ruckman, but Spida played majority of the game up forward and gave Taylor a go, who i thought was pretty good for a 3rd or 4th gamer....Good battle tho

Williams was dangerous and you seemed to combat him well in the last, although deleivery was poor.

Wasnt a pretty match, but nearly 50,000 people

We've still got a hell of a lot of improvement left in us. Any win from a game where we certainly weren't the best team on the night is good.

Great to see Kouta back to his best.

Answer me this, why aren't French, Stevo, Kouta and Johnson our first choice quartet to start in the middle?

I can appreciate the rotation through the midfeild and all of that, but they are by far and away the best option there!!

On TV it looked like 45,000 fans were Carlton supporters. What a crowd! I wish I was there.

the support was definitely hugely in Carlton's favour as noted in the last quater, but it wasn't that one sided. About 3 to 1 i'd say.
prolly 37,000 blues fans, 12,000 hawks fans if i had to guess.

Well French and Stevo always play in the middle and with great success I might add. Kouta's played every minute of this season, but being a big player we can afford to rest him up forward if need be. As for Johnno, he plays his best footy off the bench. He's not the fittest bloke going around, but he specialises in moving the ball in our direction after half time. His position is often rotated between Bannister (who was good IMO) and Walker.

Our midfield has been good this season though. It's both ends of the field I'm worried about.
