when is hall back? can we possibly play hall at CHB? which isn't really that appealing
I'd say Gas' retirement was inevitable going by the dropping of Krak and now Tivers. Many things are changing in a short amount of time, it's enough to make your head spin. TW is in damage control.

the question is, who will wallace make a scape goat now? I think it will be joel bowden or richo. they better not make any errors or they will be out. as for the youth in the side, they can screw as much as they like.
Im not going to get over excited until I see it actually happen, im sick of being disappointed. If they were any good they would have made an impression by now and probably be in the team. I fear they might be on the bottom for a long time.As the membership campaign suggest 2007 is Generation Next and it has begun, but be prepared as time and again this side is going to have poor days but hell the future looks better each week.
The more you type the more it seems like you are not an actual Tigers supporter. Gaspar retiring is a blessing in disguise, sure it might result in more losses this year than normal but the fact that we seem to be moving on and entering a era where the kids are given precedence over experienced players that have gone as far as they can will reap rewards.
It seems TW has sent a few messages out this week, with Tivendale getting dropped, Tuck and Petts named on the pine and you could suggest that Gaspar has been told with Thursfield coming back and kids like McGuane and Moore doing reasonable jobs that Gaspar might not have been in the side for much longer so he decided to move on and let the kids gain valuable game time.
As much as we might dispise the man for his lack of skill he did give everything on match day. It is a classy act to know your time is up instead of just milking your contract and taking games away from kids you step down altogether from the senior side.

Im sure that if the drafts picks were good they would have already been in the side. As it is, the side is mainly made up of the younger players since last year anyway. The 'youth policy is just a smoke screen for inept coaching.

It's like winning tattslotto finally the freak has goneSurely we wouldnt retire Gaspar to give the young kids a go and then put Richo in his position.

Thats 15 kids that have played in 5 weeks of footy. Of that group 6 have played every game this year. Here is an idea lets play all ths kids and forget about any senior players for the rest of the year and be the first club in a long time to go through a year without a win.
People seem strangely happy about finishing last this season. Next year will be make or break for wallace, if they end up near the bottom again he would have a hard time trying to explain it.

You seem confused, people are not happy at finishing last, no-one ever is. What we are happy about is Wallace seems to be moving into the next phase of his 5 year plan. That is start giving the kids preference over those that have gone as far as they could. Hence Gaspar retiring, Tivendale dropped, then you have Pettifer & Tuck named on the bench, Polo having to earn his spot back in the seniors. Wallace is not going to just hand out free passes anymore. Players have to earn their spots and in the future it is going to benefit the club more knowing that they have a playing group that has 30-35 players capable of a game instead of the 20-25 they have now with a few kids coming through.People seem strangely happy about finishing last this season. That would be my move IITB .What about richo at full back????? Is that as weird as it sounds?

until we find a fb i suppose mcguane is going to play back.imo mcguane has the makings of a very good forward i really hope in time he ends up forward. with this in mind i think its time the only kpp on the list who has the right body shape to play fb on big blokes is played there that bloke is schulz. we are rebuilding and our youngsters are going thru a big learning curve lets develop our kpp so they can play at both ends of the ground.Agree with Calcium, would be a bad move to shift Schulz back. We are building a new forward line and they need every opportunity to work together.
Similarly, our defenders need that chance. McGuane, Polak, Moore, Thursfield, they are the future of our defence.
Tigerboyz - Coburg seniors have a bye. Will will play reserves for another week, hopefully get close to a full game in.
Bowden seems to have been the first choice full back ahead of Gaspar from the beginning of this season. Not sure why, but Gaspar seems to have been second choice from the start. Maybe he was only kept on as plan B and now other options have presented, which may not be quite as good, but are not much worse either.I'm still not convinced there's a better option at full back than gaspar in the short term. I'm very surprised that TW has moved him on so early in the season.
A Lot to do with it I think, jezza. I reckon Polak has exceeded Plough's expectations to date which has given him an extra solid body down back.I'm wondering whether in fact it was Polak's performance that has prompted this. He is the guy that can replace Darren in terms of playing on the big monster forwards.
I dont think just putting games under their belt will do that much, the sides that are doing well usually ease them in to take the leadership role. I think half of those players havent shown all that much in terms consistly play well. they are up and down, just like players in the past, so im not that excited.See what happen exactly, the Tigers play kids?
Consider the following kids have played this year:
Deledio, Tambling, McGuane, Polo, Raines, Pattison, King, Howat, Edwards, Moore, Jackson, JON, Schulz, Hughes, Foley.

Krustyman you are a very unique richmond supporter indeed. You seem to want the tigers to play senior players, regardless of form in the hope we win maybe 3 more games, instead of playing our young brigade who are in form and for the moment deserve their spots in the best 22.I dont think just putting games under their belt will do that much, the sides that are doing well usually ease them in to take the leadership role.
