Rapt to get Everitt though.

I dont know much about Vezpremi, but by the sounds of the you guys you have some raps for him.

Im dissapointed losing Everitt I rate him hightly he will add some versatility to your side and will be something special with the confidance of game time.

Veszpremi = Thrilling at times but disappointing most of the time!

Just how my ex described me!!!:D

Yeah, I think at best Vez would have become Nick Davis MKII. Not what we're looking for.

Im in tears why do i always lose my number 13s Pat made it easy to lose Snides now i have lost him he was one of the nicest funniest people i have ever met he always asked how i was doing! I suggest all Bulldog fans to go read "The Draft" will give you real inside into how Patty works just needs the time he will be great i know it i will always believe in him and wish him all the very best hes going to bring excitment and a laugh/smile to ur face!

Love you Patty Vesz

Need to send him my Vesz-Tastic banner :[

Of all our recent delisitngs and trades this one rings hollow.

You know there is more of Vez than what he has shown so far at Sydney and that he could accomplish a lot more. Yet that he wasn't grabbing his chances or shaking the door to break into the senior team. The first year players pushed their way past him into the senior team and he was left stranded.

We all had high hopes for Vez and when we saw what he was capable of we thought we'd found a folk hero sort.

Perhaps though Rockets boot camp style of coaching may be more effective than the swans coaching calmer exterior technique.

Not at all happy with this trade. Vespa can be a gun, Everitt going nowhere fast

Based on what?

If you go purely on VFL versus playing in Canberra, Everitt has been very good for Williamtsown at VFL level; Vez has been frustratingly underwhelming in Canberra, which, as we all agree, is a far lesser standard than VFL.

What are you basing your statements on?

Therein lies the problem: Vez is the only footballer, well, after Nick Davis, who couldn't fit in with Paul Roos.

I wish Vez luck, and yes, i still think he can make a career for himself, but so can Everitt with us, and that's surely now the more important point.

Nick Davis was always my comparison for many I think. Has the ability, but may never get the best out of himself.

I hope this helps his career. Good luck to him.
I am confident Everitt will become a very good player for us.

I kind of saw this coming after Roos' comment earlier in the year about reserves players who were underperforming.

It's a shame because it would have been great to see him do what we know he's capable of, but you can't always get the most out of every player, there will always be a few who slip through. Perhaps he will thrive in Melbourne's football culture, which he may not have done if he'd stayed here. I wonder how much the trade had to do with the emergence of the likes of Jetta and TDL...

anyway welcome young Spida!

I have mixed feelings because he was an early favourite of mine. In particular, he promised to provide some x-factor to a team that was severely lacking in it at the time. The x-factor loss has been largely mitigated by the subsequent recruitments of Jetta and Rohan - still raw but they have the athleticism to go with their speed and flair.

My gut feeling is that, while Vez' footy brain and footskills are great, he will never get his body in good enough shape to make the most of them at AFL level. Whether that is down to not being prepared to consistently doing the hardwork, to a lack of natural tank, or to being injury prone I don't know. I suspect that, at worst, he'll survive in the system for at least another couple of seasons and he'll play some good games. He might even kick match winning scores. But I have doubts over whether he'll be able to do it consistently. I do wish him well, however, and I half hope he proves the decision to trade him to be a mistake.

Whether Everitt turns out any better I have no idea. I've seen hardly anything of him in the last couple of seasons. He sounds like he has a bit of the Eds about him. Happy to reserve judgement until we see what he can deliver.
