The only difference is that one plays for an interstate side that looks like it will make the 8, the other comes from a Victorian side the AFL would like to make the 8.
What concerns me is the MRP's ability to pick and choose who cops time by making a decision on the level of contact. If they did it, they did it no matter the contact. If the level of contact is a determining factor why is there an attempting to strike rule? Players may as well hit a bloke and take the chance the contact gets assessed as insufficient.
