Goodes has been very, VERY lucky a few times at the tribunal, when i first saw the incident i thought he was in a bit of strife, however with Selwood i thought he was gone for 2-3 for sure. No one could possibly know what the MRP will come up with, i dont wanna see a good player out, but, with his carry over points and the fact he should have got a spell for the Selwood incident he must go this time.
Question for the Swans supporters. He is a star footballer very talented one of the best of this generation, why does he continue to do stupid things like this or the Selwood incident or going back the Godfrey incident? Is he an angry angry man, does he just have silly brain fades or is he a bit mentally weak, not stirring up trouble just curious as to why he does it??
its as clear as bloody daylight why he hits people like that
its because at half of the rucks hes roving at, he runs straight through me middle of it as if (he expects) the ball to drop into his hand, he can break through and kick a goal or get into space, have a run and spear it to baz or someone

Well summed up Mase, but i don't think he will ever really hurt anyone. If this is what footy's come to its a joke.I don't think that is it at all. I reckon he comes through hoping to put a hip-and-shoulder, or small bump, to the players over the ball. This releases the ball from underneath them, allowing himself or another player to collect.
Nothing wrong with the strategy, except his timing is all wrong. There is nothing malicious in what he is doing, he just keeps going in too early and catching the head.
Hopefully this will show him what he is doing, and that he needs to stop it. One day, he will seriously injure somebody, and cost the team plenty.
We can push O'Keefe up the ground for the Collingwood game, and he can play Goodes role.

There is now no need to stop girls playing footy at 13 they can just continue to play as they wont get hurt in the AFL

explains a fair bit !
no, the article on the young girl winning a decision to let her keep playing with the boys

Junior footy rules in VIC. say that girls must stop playing against boys in U/14,this girl has taken them to court and won,she played her 1st game of the season yesterday.got a link sounds interesting
love to see girls play with the boys
i was the only girl in my AFL team and i played for two years and play in a granny![]()
damn. There is no way he will get off again. We will be without our best player for the biggest game of the season.
Is that sarcasm? I really can't tell these days ..Actually, I just saw it again on Footy Classifieds and he'll contest it and they'll throw it out. The ball bounced on its point back into the Melbourne player. Goodes was running through intent on the ball and would have collected it if it had bounced predictably. There was absolutely nothing in it and the contact was minimal. The MRP are clearly reacting to the outcry after the Selwood incident. Shame on them.

Not quite, the panel said he SHOULD contest it, but we don't know what the club has chosen to do.Actually, I just saw it again on Footy Classifieds and he'll contest it and they'll throw it out. I personally think it's a good thing. Although he's going to miss the game against the Pies, in my opinion he needs a wake-up call to stop this undisciplined rubbish. In review, I think this was far less in all MRP categories than the Selwood one, but it was exactly the same type of incident as the Selwood one and he needs to have a week on the sidelines to correct his behaviour. I was a bit apprehensive to Roos' comments a few weeks ago, but now i think he was completely right in saying what he said. Normally I would be ropeable about something like this but I really think this could fix Goodesy's reckless mindset for the rest of the year and beyond.
Just my view on it.
