More like Bay 13.

"Umps couldn't split their love-childs!"

Would hate for Goodes to share it with Judd. I hope Goodes polls in the last round to beat Judd by a vote. Would make my year.

Bro Northern Beaches Repozent, I Spend $15 on water per day. ;)

Nah a few hundred if he does.
Yep, I jumped on a couple of week ago and should make a tidy couple of hundred if he manages to get up. If not, I've still got coverage on Judd/Pendles/Swan/Ablett. Worst case, noone there wins & I lose a couple of beers worth at the pub.

My multi came off for the first time last night:

- Stosur to beat Zvonereva
- Federer to beat Tsonga
- Swans to win by under 39.5
- Arsenal to beat Swansea
- Manly to beat Nth Queensland

$5 got be a $100 return, so I think that'll help pay for my SF ticket. :thumbsu:

Normally when a player is approaching their 300th game you talk about them as being great, still holding their own, but in reality they are heading pretty quickly towards retirement. I can't recall any player coming into their 300th game who is still dominating the competition like Goodes.

He is in my view, if not the best, then certainly the most valuable footballer in the country. Need a strong, dominant forward target - put Goodes at FF or CHF. Need to win the ball out of the middle - throw Goodes in to the centre bounce. Need to stem the flow - throw Goodes back. He is just so commanding. I loved on Saturday night he went into the middle and they focused on him in the lead up to the bounce. You could see him look at Mumford like "just get it down mate I'll do the rest". The ball is bounced, it comes down and Goodes is away.

I don't reckon you will get to the Grand Final this year, but if you had 3 of him you would be certainties.

He is in the running to win the AFLPA award for the most valuable player in the comp (voted by the players) on now on fox1

Finished 4th in the MVP. Very good effort. Still don't know how Judd won it, they should rename it the player of the year not the most valuable because Judd is definitely not the most valuable. I would have both Ablett and Goodes ahead of him.

If it is the best player of the year, then I would give it to Pendlebury. A fair way ahead of Judd IMO, Judd's down games have started to rack up and his year is pretty overrated. Has had some amazing games where he was a clear bog, but also a lot of down games.

I'm big enough to acknowledge that Judd was a deserving winner this year, though both Pendles and Abblet should have been closer.

However, most footy supporters begrudge much of Judd's success this year, because of the fact he was clearly undeserving of last years Brownlow. Nobody can convince me that Swan didn't deserve it. Judd was the big fish in the small pond and grabbed votes in games he seemed average in. Throw in the fact he should of got suspended and you have an easy target.

He's always polarised people though with his eye-gouging/pressure point incident, the way he left West Coast and the fact that his is continually pumped up in the media as a great of the game and good person when he appears otherwise. Frankly my top 3 is Franklin/Goodes/Abblet in any order and Judd would be somewhere after that.

I would love nothing more than for Pendles/Abblet/Goodes/Mitchell to get the Brownlow this year as an even-upper for last years disgrace. Would become the least deserving 3-time Brownlow medalist ever if Judd got it.

He's also always given credit for being a good leader, but isn't Judd just a great player? People put him in the lead by example category, but in my mind being a leader needs to do more than that. To some extent that's why Goodes had to work on his leadership. Now he isn't just the best player, but you can see how he nurtures our youngest and sets a good example off-field with his involvement in charities, indigenous programs, AFLPA ect.

I sound like a bitter and twisted Eagles/Collingwood supporter so I should stop ranting now. :o

I'm not sure if that is meant to be a dig at me or not. But I honestly don't think Judd has been the best player this year. Judd has had a very good year, but he gets pumped up too much for my liking. Pendlebury has quite clearly been the best player this season, and that includes Goodes. It is fair to say though that Judd is one of my most disliked players, along with Mitchell, and I don't think he should have won the Brownlow last year. Although, I did win about $600 on him so I can't complain too much:p

I also agree with you in that I'm not sure how Judd won best captain as well as MVP. Aside from his great play on the field, he isn't a captain's arseh*le. I probably would have actually gave it to Cameron Ling, considering Geelong's amazing year.

No, it wasn't a dig at you at all. I referenced your post cause you did seem to be like me and a lot of others on this forum, in that you showed a distinct distaste for Judd. :p

Meh Judd wasnt even best player in his team this year, coaches award is the one that counts

Or the Brownlow which hopefully Goodes snags.

A little bit of an omen, just looking at the Leigh Matthews Trophy. The last time Judd won it, Goodes went on to win the Brownlow in the same year;)

Fair praise from a Pie

Perhaps Dolly the Sheep is the answer
