I implore everyone to read through this entire thread and count how many Melbourne supporters are here posting. I've counted one. If I'm wrong, someone correct me.

This has to be the least engaged supporter base in the AFL. Maybe all their supporters are over 75?

The Melbourne Wine and Cheese Festival is not until Febuary 21st 2026 so I'm not sure.

The most successful Victorian clubs of the 21st century Geelong and Hawthorn are medium sized clubs as well ironically enough.

And both were staring down the real possibility of closing down in the mid-to-late 90s, a fact which is increasingly overlooked.

Tends to steel the character I suspect.

Both, in differing ways, have sought to create really strong geographic links.

Melbourne, on the other hand, have a membership that voted in favour of a merger in 1996 and a persistent perception that they are the adjunct of a cricket club.

I really rate Ash Hanson but I'm guessing Adam Simpson is a real chance .

Question is do you want a rebuilding coach or to stay mid table and build up again?

Not sure Simmo, great as he is, has the resume to rebuild, but if he can good luck to him and rhe Dees.

I went to Mount Buller for the first time after moving here 12 years ago. Felt like a snow theme park. Overpriced crappy food too. $350 for one day's skiing? No thanks.

I'm from Perth (technically born overseas but moved there as a baby) but moved to Melbourne 12 years ago, as you'd know if you've followed my past posts.
