Dazjack was a clear winner, but the rising star committee (me) disqualified him as I didnt want to be embroiled in controversy. Mostly I have no idea why he was permabanned, so thought it was easiest to just pretend he didnt exist. So of course the first thing you guys do all year is bring up the banned guy.You actually did something ? Well, I'll be damned. I probably already am .....
Anyway, good job but I thought Dazjack was very stiff.
Yeah, this sort of stuff is good. Just go and photo shop SaintsSeptember avatar on top taylor or somethingView attachment 1707265
“Yo, sophomores, I'm really happy for you, Imma let your rising star thread... But first, Goosey-baby needs some of that sweet beez votes honey.."
No. Pickitt was absolutely robbed and your attempt brush it all aside is not lost on most of us.[Insert cool Graphic] TheInjuryFactory I think you are the man for this.
Yet again the Sophomores have screwed it and left the Rookies high and dry and yet again The Goose is here to save the day. (I won't call myself a hero, but if others think it is approriate I won't disagree)
Although the Sophomores are hopeless, Im not sure they are totally to blame for this once great award again being neglected, I think the decline started a few years back and many are to blame.
I think the Rookies need an explanation of why they have been so horribly neglected this year, so I will outline the history of the demise of this award and apportion blame to those at fault.
Ironically the class of Season 29 probably did too good a job and made the task too daunting. GremioPower created separate elements with not 1 but 2 weekly nominations that required loads of work on a weekly basis. The s29, but mostly Gremio, probably started the rot by expecting future draft classes to have the same commitment as the S29 class which History has shown to be jam full of some of the leagues most active participants.
And in another twist of fate, one of the rising stars biggest advocates was very demanding of his fellow s30 classmates and created a group who has actively worked against this once fine award.
Season 32 is where the wheels fell off. Greenery basically stuffed it. This is the first time that I had to save the day and in the end put together one of the greatest rising star performances in history, others did stuff too, but mostly me. (Again, Im not saying hero, but I think it is clear)
The last 2 seasons we've limped to the line with stuff that passes, but just.
This year, we've had no ongoing nominations, not rookie engagement via this award and unsurprisingly we see the old skool back in my day types whinging about rookies.
So here we are, The Goose is here today to save the Rookies with a rising star Event for the ages.
I will announce each rounds nominations over the course of the next few days.
I will arrange amazing write ups and cool graphics and it will be tops.
The rookies will be engaged, they will invigorate the league and the SFA will be saved.
Im not saying you guys should build a statue of me, but you probably should.
Rising Star Round 3 Nomination
Membling of the Royals is the round 3 nomination.
Round 3 saw Membling get promoted to the wing. I have no idea how he went, but he played there. Sun Ra get someone do a write up of Membling doing stuff on the wing.
It looks like Membling did a fair bit of posting, CatToTheFuture , you're a sophomore and pretty funny. Insert something funny about Memblings round 3 posting.
Insert shooped photo of Membling getting the round 3 nomination.
EDIT: I have inserted a very large image of Membling to make the thread appear longer than it really is. Am I doing this right GWS Goose ?Apparently Membling is funny, one you sopomores should interview him and insert that in here as well.
Good job Membling.
The rest of you Rookies, at this point should have been told to get better to get your nomination. So pretend that happened.
frNo. Pickitt was absolutely robbed and your attempt brush it all aside is not lost on most of us.
Yeah, pretty good.
So I hear but he also seems a little lazy.Yeah, pretty good.
I would have got someone to shoop in a trophy. Obviously I wouldnt do it myself, i have no ability with graphics, TheInjuryFactory is good at that stuff.
Think I had one tackle. But boy oh boy what a tackle it was!I have a good feeling that you'll be nominated very close to your debut.
Was there more than 18 rookies that debuted this season? Would be good if there was some sort of SweetFA+ data hub that could tell me.by round 8 the cupboard is pretty bare, that one tackle could be enough.
I know that seems like something a guy running the Rising star should know but that seems more like a Falconista type question. Was there more than 18 rookies that debuted this season? Would be good if there was some sort of SweetFA+ data hub that could tell me.
M8, I'm the hardest working man in qootball. So I hear but he also seems a little lazy.
So what you're saying is..I know that seems like something a guy running the Rising star should know but that seems more like a Falconista type question.
Hey skip, is there more than 18 rookies?
There's your Tinder bio sorted.Think I had one tackle. But boy oh boy what a tackle it was!

Are you suggesting a return of the Goose Award?I'm confused, I thought you were a goose
Two?Maybe I should link my 2 Goose Award wins in my sig instead of quoting people who have said nice things to me.
