Jahmal Stretch (pretty sure he's not a NGA prospect, I did check the March 2021 article).

I had a long hard think about how to fill North's gaping small forward stocks and researched a few SA and WA prospects. I did consider Isaiah Dudley and Arthur Jones, but I felt Jahmal's defensive work and leap was best for North's style of footy.

I did consider Blayne O'Loughlin and a few other options, but North desperately need class in the back half in the short, medium and long-term and Banks fits that to a T.

Inability to prove he can win a hard ball due to being injured is the short story. Really needed a consistent year to prove his inside game and just hasn't had it.

Genuine Utility at a high level rather than someone that's average enough everywhere he can't hold a position down. Rankin's got speed, he's got agility, he's got class and he can use the ball off both sides of his body well, reckon if that skillset was applied to a higher profile name or an SA/WA lad he'd be top 20

I can't help but pick one of my favourites here. Missed a lot of footy this season with injury but came back late in the year and stood out to me in his SA representative games. I absolutely love his dash off half back but it's his movement around the ball that screams talent to me. Takes the game on with speed and always looking to link up with teammates, I wouldn't be surprised if Lord ends up as a quality AFL winger before his career ends. Injects a bit more speed into the ageing Geelong list.
