Hey sorry, another random/prob obvious question... Is this what a player gets when he takes a grab and slots it through?

Mark (3) + Kick (3) + Goal (6) = 12points? (7pts if it was a behind/hit the post?)

Also if it was touched on the line (rush behind) does the kicker get the 1point?

Cheers

First question is definitely yes.

I'm pretty sure that when it's touched on the line the kicker gets the point for the behind.

apologies if this has been asked before:

are they implementing the partial lockout for the split round coming up?

If the ball is touched on the line it is recorded as a rushed behind and is not credited to any one player. You dont get the +1 for a point.

Dont know if it has been asked before but it is a question regarding DP.

Say i have dangerfield as an emergency in the mids. If harvey is a late withdrawal on the weekend, will dangerfield's score cover him since they are both forward/mids or will harvey not be covered because he is only covered by a forward emergency

thanks for the reply. Its a bit of a negative for DP but still fair enough i suppose

Harvey would be covered by whoever your FWD emergency is, not Dangerfield.

To start Hitchcock or Jono Brown? JB is injured and out of form while Hitchcock is in good form and playing Richmond.
I'm leaning towards Hitchy but if I do start him he'll score 40 and JB will get a 100 knowning my luck.

Pretty close on all counts, Bena...

Any other point predictions for this coming week? ;)

Lucky I started JB then :D but I started Hitchy over Rockliff tho :(

I'm also thinking of trading getting Pav this in week for LeCras, so LeCras to go 120+ and Pav to sruggle to 80 knowing my luck

Q. Do you still regard Matthew Boyd as an elite premium?

He will be ~$410K after this round, or a 22% discount to the price of the benchmark midfielder, GAJ.

Well he was avg 129 before he broke his hand this year, and 92.8 since breaking it. He's still wearing the glove... fair chance he's still not 100%.

At the price Boyd has more upside because of his value than Montagna or Swan. But the game is won on points, not teams with the most improved value players.

I guess it is situational which every trade is. But i reckon the 50-70k will be important in trying to trade in a cheap DP player to cover the forwards and mids, in my case.

Boyd could also possibly go very close to a Swan or Montagna avg for the rest of the year.

While he may go close to matching averages with swan and monty i have looked at their run home (finals time in dt) round 19-22 and the bulldogs have a much harder draw than both the pies and the saints.

The saints have one of the easiest runs home with port, north, richmond and adelaide. Also this year i cant see the saints resting players because they will be fighting for a top 4 spot.

The Bulldogs last 4 are adelaide, geelong, sydney and essendon. Teams that the bulldogs have struggled against in the past.

just my 2c

I against the downside to that is resting players. As you said saints arnt really in that position but im telling you when they play Richmond they will be happy to play their best 3-25 instead of 1-22. They will still back themselves to win that game.

Im turning away from Swan, he has a knee problem and the pies IIRC someone said their last 4 games were also fairly easy, i can see him being rested a fair bit in the back half of the year.

Montagna is the player i want and need. He is a gun. Wouldnt suprise me to say he will avg the most from here on in. I also looked at the draw the saints had 3 weeks ago and i wanted montagna than but other trades were better at the time. They played Adelaide, WCE and someone else in that time and he scored 126,94,151 IIRC.

I think Montagna will avg 125 for the rest of the season and go close to the highest scorer from here on in.

What are some good and imformative threads that this board have had in the past 5 years on AFL Dream Team? (Like "DT ruck 2009")

Who will cop a donut this week?

Explained in title

How many zero's will you get this week and what can you do with trades to cover for zero's.

Some popular players not playing.

Kennelly, Hargrave, Franklin, Hitchcock, (NO NOK), Wona and the possibility of Howlett missing with 3 or 4 mids named in extended side for essendon.

Re: Who will cop a donut this week?

If barlow is late withdrawal then yes, but should be ok.

had moles and shuey on bench all year, luckily it hasnt really effected my trading or scores all season till last week.

Re: Who will cop a donut this week?

No, infact should have 3 EMG too
