Just looked at Rota's profile the other day and noticed a post by Quigley asking about that and Rota has not been online since December so my guess is rota has not payed up

No never paid. I finished 94th rota69 was well down the order. Given rota's previous form it is not surprising. He likes to big note himself but when it is time to pay up he mysteriously has a memory lapse.

So there is a warning for everyone - Do Not Trust rota69.

how much cash should i hold back going into round one?

Depends a bit on when you think you might want to start trading. If you want to trade in players before Rd 3, you might be better off keeping some cash in hand. If you don't wnt to trade till Rd 7/8 your cows should have appreciated enough in value that you can levverage that cash.

Would you guys consider downgrading Hodge; for either Van Berlow or Rich - to upgrade Harvey to J.Brown?

Very tough question. I would go Higgins as you just dont know what will happen to a player over 30, he could win a B&F or he could play 5 games. Wheras Higgins is training the house down and should be a safe bet.

NP with 2 leagues this year. Initially it was thought the 2 leagues would be evenly matched given a draft was conducted however Tarquins Tossers have tanked for priority picks in 2011, leaving all the quality in Skanks Scumbags.

Recall the Saints were thought to have the most favourable draw of 2009 and look at the season they had which you would assume impacted players DT numbers (Gilbert, Goodard, Montagna, Roo, Hayes, NDS all had great years).

Shouldn't be the sole basis of squad selection but might have an impact on scores and worth considering when selecting players or deciding between players.

Dogs have a favourable DT draw. Only play the Saints and Cats once each. Play Hawthorn twice and teams rack up monster points against Hawthorns mids.

Could be worth considering upside in some Dogs mids such as Cooney, Boyd and Ward based on this.
