S01 E00 is out for download (or stream).

Haven't watched it yet but it's apparently a few clips to promote the show and producers talking about it.

Its not too bad, good insight to the show and some quality behind the scenes stuff.
 
Just watched it and super super super keen for it.

I love the idea of seeing origin stories for villains such as Penguin, Riddler and Catwoman, before they meet Batman.

And, they didn't mention it, but I reckon Gotham will be of how James Gordon sort of kept Gotham city from absolute, absolute chaos, before Batman arrives.

I see what you mean but I think it would be great if despite minor victories the city just kept spiralling out of control getting worse and worse sort of showing why Batman became necessary.

Gotham will always be ****ed up.
 
Im hoping it doesnt turn in to some big 'hey look heres *insert villian here* as a kid' jerk off at the expense of everything else.

Just my point of view that if the batman aint ginna be around then neither should the joker.
Whoever they get will prob not be any good.
I think the he is big screen character.

I realise its a bit stupid but just what I think, but it doesnt matter coz I think its been confirmed that he is gonna be in it. I hope its closer to the end of the show if it has a long run that we see a full on joker.

But we are seeing Catwoman next week, and the Penguin will feature in a few episode this season.

Like I said I realise its stupid but I see the joker as much more iconic then those other characters. Hell Batman is probably too iconic for this show after the dark knight trilogy.

Either way not the end of the world I just prefer not to see a shitty version of the joker and batman.

I think the Joker may be seen as an iconic character more because Heath Ledger portrayed him in the movies. He did such a good job with the character that it'll be hard to replace in the eyes of the public at the moment. In comparison, we will end up seeing a shittier version of the Joker. This will also be the case for when Ra's Al Gul comes into the show. The movies were really good, and the expectation (even though it's made by different people) that we will have of this show won't be there completely.

This is going to get confusing. Batman, Arrow, and The Flash all in the same universe. I hope that Ra's Al Gul's appearance in Arrow, doesn't spoil what can be a devastating occurrence on Gotham.
 
Arrow and the Flash are going to be the only shows crossing over aren't they? Different studios aren't going to help each other out I would've thought. Would be a world first.

Gotham would be before the events of Arrow and Flash so no worries there i.e. Harley Quinn being in Arrow meaning that Batman has been around for a while as Harley is always portrayed as much younger as Batman in the cartoon show in the 1990s.
 
Gotham is unlikely to cross over with arrow/flash because its on a different network and made by different production company. So it is a separate universe.

The new supergirl show is by the people that made arrow/flash but different network will be airing it.
So maybe it could cross over if the networks agree.
