Echuca have signed Marty Hore. Marty was heavily courted by Melbourne in the lead up to the 2015 AFL Draft. He won the B&F at Collingwood VFL last year and I feel still has a chance to be picked up. Magnificent user of the ball. May not play many if any but a great pick up.
these VFL 'signings' are a bit iffy aren't they. will Reid or Hore manage a single echuca game between them considering they're both influential players at VFL level?

Reid was badly injured playing for Geelong yesterday so it will be some period of time before he plays anywhere. Hore wont be seen much either but I'd assume that he would be like Elton for Seymour. I would think Collingwood VFL will play finals as they have the past few seasons.

Very high standard game, the ball certainly was pinging around, wang just had to much class up forward in the end, the 2 key forwards plus Number 16 had to much for the ky backs.
#16 did have an unfair advantage, as there were two of them on the ground.
Its strange for me reading comments about it being a rare thing to see a game of such high quality. I thought Wang were very sloppy early. I'd say I saw atleast 5 games of better intensity in the back half of last year, maybe we are just blessed in the O&M?

Must say the Ky fellas were great hosts and also the players showed brilliant sportsmanship when young Burns went down.

How did young Richards go for Wang?

Joey kicked three and looks set up as a star for wang.
Nick had 30+ but was uncharacteristically sloppy by foot. Willi have promised him afew games this year and will be interesting to see how he grabs the opportunity.
Yes mate I believe he will play 3-4 games as a 23rd man and possible line up in the 3 Young Guns games!

Not so great news for Roury Kirby who will miss 12 months with an ACL. A big loss to the Murray Bombers. Not only a very good CHF but his leadership on the field will be sorely missed. Looking forward to watching Buckley, Willis, Gannon, Walker and co in action against Tat...should be a great contest.

Not great by all reports AlburyE, i had to miss due to the coaching course but heard it was a battle, don't know a score. And the bad news is Jordan Hockley has done his ACL and will miss the season
Was one of the strategies you learnt in your coaching course Lion was not to find out how your team went when they lost?;) What did you find out about the points? See one of the Wondonga teams is already admitting they will have to juggle their players due to points overload!

Are you suggesting a GV side might be juggling players to fit under the points cap bootz?

I personally would hate to see this happen! We want footy to be as strong as it can be. Coaches don’t need the burden of adding up points and then dealing with players not getting games because of it. Bring back Darwin’s Theory of Evolution...the strong survive.

Yep I agree ringo. I thought the league was going along nicely before salary caps and points. Most sides had their turn at competing for a premiership. It is harder now for a Shepp Swans or whoever to put themselves back in a position to compete than it was prior AFL governance of our league.

The unfortunate thing is that clubs are folding like deck chairs, another 2 this week with DWWW and East Keilor shutting the doors!

Thought it may have happened already last year with some talk that the Bears best team could not have been put on the park for the GF because of points, but it was more likely form and fitness that decided this, not the points.
But Silver I was thinking for this season about Seymour’s recruits, which Lion was going to research into.

I got a novel idea , let local people run local footy , communicate with each other to discuss what is and isnt working and throw resources at those that are struggling.
it's only happened for 100 + years but wtf would I know.
