Breaking News: It is a Round 5 match, Not a Round one match.

Today was Finals footy at victory park for the first round.

Argeed.. One of the best Local footy Games that i have seen or Played in.[/QUOTE]
Hey oz, weren't Tatura winning by about 15 points at half time? Why so happy when your side partook in a 24 point turnaround (to the negative) in the 2nd half and blew a game it sounds like they could have won?

You mentioned it was finals footy ... the loss may yet prove costly come finals time.

They were 20 up in the last quarter so disappointing for the Dogs especially however 2017 panned out. Plenty of positives outside not collecting 4 points though.

To answer your last line first. The 8 losses that were within 16 points last year proves costly for finals for Tat. Heck, There are 17 games to go.

The reason I am happy with the so-called "Partook in a 24 point Turnaround(I think that comment smack contempt to the standard and pace of the Football today btw)" is I think Tat won 3 Qtrs of footy. Buckley won them the game in the Final quarter. I saw 21 Bulldogs come off the field know that they gave everything. I do think it a bit of inexperience as Tat is a young team(Most are in the Low 20's now)Speaking to a few Tat lads, They did say and I did notice that ground was a lot softer than what a normal first round game but that is no excuse to a loss.

It was a fantastic game.

I do not think you are giving Tat or Echuca the Credit of a fantastic contest of footy today. Tatur had no Matt Shannon and no Aubury Coote who would help Grenfell out a bit better. Would that be the difference? Who knows

I'm not having a crack at anyone oz, obviously are excited about the standard of the game so well done to both sides. My point is that losing by 3 goals or less is frustrating and can become habitual and you mentioned eight times last year.

On the topic of the week = points, and clubs being on or over 40 points. Shannon is a 4 pointer. If Coote played senior footy at United he will be 4 points. If so, they could only play in yesterday's team together if the Bulldogs removed two 1 point players.
Ridiculous yet true.

Given every player carries at least 1 point not sure it's a issue ?

The difference between last year and this year is the Injuries... We had sometime 10 first team players out last year and had players injured in both 3 grades of footy. This year apart from Matt Shannon, We are pretty good injury wise

Also there is slight change of culture at the Bulldogs for the better. I do not think we had players quite buying into the club.

AS for Points, I do know that a few Tat Senior players did drop a few points. I am bloody sick of points discussion. It is Round one.

My thoughts about Tat are that on a dry deck they will be very difficult to play against. Their outside ball use really was top class yesterday. They lined well with hands. However the longer it went, the shallower their entries become which allowed Echuca to rebound from HB. Looking forward to the Seymour V Echuca game in a couple of weeks. Once again a game that will give us all another indication of where the clubs are heading.

Coote played TAC Cup last year, does that supersede him being from United?

Only played footy at Assumption, Calder and maybe United thirds last year. He was injured with significant ankle injury at times. Pretty sure he didn’t play seniors but don’t TAC boys attract 4 points in any case?

only if they play enough games .
He would have only needed a permit to play at assumption and tac which is normally the case.
If he was cleared from a club(united) who Tat plays against he'll accumulate an additional point.

Please , my head is spinning.....I yearn for the simple life when there were none of this confusion. This points system is all too much for us simple folk!

So he will then Technically be a Not a TAC Cup player because you have to play 5 games or more in 3 years I think.

So If that is the case. He will be a 3 pointer not a 4 pointer.

3 for being a junior plus one as he came from a club that his current club competes against so 4.
