Are any of those blokes Steve Daniels or Bernie Haberman??? If not how bout they neck up and trust the blokes they have appointed.

This is a completely unbiased and uneducated opinion given by someone who has no involvement in Seymour
Good to see Steve Daniels at Tat yesterday by the way

From a very reliable source both coaches resigned so what’s this about them getting the sack?
Mate, with all due respect ur "reliable " is either completely guessing. .....or is perhaps at the coal face of all the b***s*** !!!!. I resigned, couldn't do the job with undermining influences. Nick Jewell aas sacked mate, make no mistake about, your source and others at the club and im sure the official release will say different, but let's be clear about this, he was told that "they" didn't like the way he was going about things.

So, because he was being told ‘they didn’t like the way he was going about things’ this immediately draws the conclusion that nick jewell was sacked! Don’t know about this one Lion

What’s done is done now men, however it went down Nick and Paddy will be replaced, the sun will come up and footy clubs continue to function.

Every action we take in life, decisions we make will have a consequence not always positive but I guess if some learnings come from it the wheel will continue to turn.

Good luck to both outgoing coaches, and the Seymour FNC going fwd
All good and well for you to sugarcoat it doona, i refuse to and im not going to miss anyone. ...they need to be held accountable for their actions. Where were these people during the pre-season ?.....ill tell ya where they "weren't !!!, they weren't down on training nighs with any input whatsoever then they "bob up" in the 1st 2 rounds with all the answers........ordinary.

I don't want to get involved in an argument on here. However Simon McClean and Matt O'Sullivan are really good people. Lucky to play football with Simon and his nickname back then was 'snake'. Matt has always been a Seymour Football Club person with the best interests of the club at heart. As I am a Seymour boy I am well aware of the great club it has been and its culture. Coaches in my mind should only be moved on if they are damaging the brand of the club publicly otherwise they need to be supported fully on their journey. It sounds like in this instance that there has been a few issues around what happened yesterday. Some Echuca people were disappointed with what happened yesterday.
Well said. Can someone fill me in with what happened at the game yesterday?????

Some Echuca people were disappointed with what happened yesterday.[/QUOTE Do you think Matt had the "best" interests of the club in mind on Thursday night when he took it upon himself to walk out onto Kings Park, straight past me, and call the group of ressies players in, whom btw id given the night off on the back of a hot hard game in rd 1 , and talk to them about "i don't like separated groups at training etc etc !!......finally figures to ask me in front of a group im expected to coach "what's the go ?......said ive given them the night off....he asks them what they think of that......um..im the coach, ive made the call that should be that. And if any of the boys weren't happy with the call they know that they can talk to me about it, have told them to talk to me about anything and they know full well im approachable. Matt then proceeded to take them for a few drills right under my nose.......made to look like a fool there and then.....how could I possibly continue to coach off the back of that ?....now, on my father's grave that IS the truth, if anyone has a problem with that or a "sugarcoated" version of this id b only to happy to discuss it in person !!!!!

By the sounds of things , you’re the only one who has come out of this disappointed! FirstIy, I can see how you’d be disappointed as you believe you’ve been ‘shafted’ , which is hard to believe as Matt O’Sullivan, being a club legend, would be doing only what is right and best for the club and its future! Secondly, how is a clubs playing group and club personal going to be willing to accept this when they believe it is not best for the clubs present and future! By the sounds of things around the traps your the only one who believes it was the right fit Lion, everyone at the club seems happy and is eager to move on to bigger and better things for the club present and future !

Question on the whole Seymour sideshow.

We are only a couple weeks in and the Reserves coach gives his boys a night off. From the outside Ressie boys probably need that little extra bit of training and fair chance fitness, god it’s only 2 weeks in, its not as if they have had a heavy program.

I disagree with someone else taking the reins without asking but if that’s how reserve footy is treated in a premier comp that’s pretty average.

I’m surprised the Senior coach even allowed it

Yes like was there any footy played;)? What happened on the ground with why Echuca won? Why were there supporters upset and how come Jewel appeared to apologise to Walker after the game? Anyone please?
There was some footy played at Rochy on Saturday. I ventured down to watch an underwhelming 1st half that resembled a hybrid form of water polo and soccer. Stroobants soccered through a couple. Things dried out in the 2nd half and the Tiges put it to bed in the 3rd qtr. The Cats couldn't find the scoreboard and finished with an equal record low total against Rochy of 2.3 15.

Too wet and windy for me to form many opinions on the largely unrecognisable Cats.
New Tigers ruckman Lachie Watson shows plenty of endeavour and I liked the look of Doug Wren. Wil Hamilton will be a star! The experienced Flaherty, Hoopell, Ash Watson and Marrone played well. I fancy seeing Rhys Free in better conditions than yesterday where he still managed a couple. I think the young Tigers will surprise a few sides throughout the year.

Completely agree with your summary Silver.

Did I see Hamilton pick up an injury in the third quarter?

Stroobants didn’t look like he had put in a big pre-season with the Roos.

Free ran and presented well all day in bloody average conditions but his field kicking needs improving.

Best game Hooppell has played I suspect and these types of games will be valuable to the young guys.

I know it was crap weather but the crowd was the smallest I’ve seen for ages

What was Stroobants doing playing. Isn't he captain of North Melbournes VFL team?
