All I will say on this that there appears to be a great skism happening in most leagues. If I was a betting man I would almost be locking in a Ky/Echuca GF already. If this continues ,the clubs left without hope won't survive or will become footballing nomads ,tryng to find a place where success is possible.

I tend to agree about Echuca ... but Kyabram were hardly invinsible and already lost Holman (who won the GF in 3rd qtr) and Ogden. I think Shepparton, Rochester will be thereabouts. Swans appear to be leaking plenty. Mansfield would want to pick up 2-3 A graders from what I saw of them.

As you say, the others are coming from a fair way back. Sounds like Benalla are up and about with recruiting ... Seymour and Euroa ...who knows.

Sounds like United are quietly recruiting a few. Apparently some Murchison boys? Anyone know details. Looby? Surely in a non-playing role?

United have gone very well this offseason. Luring some big names.

Negative but from my understanding hicks is a good VFL player and would be worth every cent of decent match payments. newman and casey key positions at either end of the ground would also be worth very good money in country footy.

Any club that recruits 4-6 senior players in one offseason is spending money in todays local football world.

Great acquisitions for SU and excited to see them bounce in 2026.

Benalla going going the nt route. I dont think ive seen it work, in major league footy in Victoria, seems to be okay the level belong the top rung of leagues, not sure it'll work in the gv, can only recall when relton came down it worked before he did a hammy

I am yet to recall when this has worked in the GVFL
