This weeks games
Mansfield should beat united
Swans over Seymour
Kyabram by at least 100 over Tat
Shepp v Euroa will be game of the week - Euroa for 3 quarters look good against Echuca, but think Shepp should do enough

I'm not too familiar with Echuca and all this injury crisis talks has me curious. Can someone list of the blokes who are missing from their best 22 only one I know of is Ben Reid thats how little I know but I'm curious to find out more
I think old yep yep has answered that several pages back.

Who do tat get to coach next year? Do they get a Gary ayres or do they go a tom Davies?

Surely they have a committee with 5-10 names and headhunt their man

164 points, 105 points and 83 point difference out of 3 games.
Tatura had a 16 year old get best on ground for them.
Hogan from Mansfield with 12 goals, Noah Brodie from Shepp 2s kicked 16.
But Seymour's win against Swans gives them still a slim chance for finals, though there still 2 wins off and lots of %. Will need to beat Mansfield this week, and all of their games for rest of the season (Euroa, United, Tatura and Shepp)
Swans have the Cats, Tat and Euroa on the run home, plus Rochy and Ky, so you think 3 wins out of 5 will get them to 6th.

No.
No funking way.
No chance.
Is this a p155 take🤣
Great to see you back Cecil! The Seymour Football Club is a vital part of the GVFL. Joined in 1976 and won flags in 76, 78, 81,82, 1991 and then the three peat in the mid 2000's. 8 Flags in 50 years in pretty incredible and another couple of GF appearances. The Bendigo League is about to collapse. Seymour v Broadford may of been box office in the old Waranga North East League. If anything the addition of Broadford to the BFL is more of a deterent. In fact if Broadford gets up I will run from Seymour to Broadford in my speedos.

Something needs to happen with the GV as a league. It’s dead set cooked the way it is.

Echuca and Rochester will never seek a return to the Bendigo league. The bad blood still lingers over 50 years on and the fact that they still don't stage any finals outside Bendigo and the continued apathy towards the southern clubs will reinforce that view.

Kyneton are in the Riddell and Maryborough are in recess and are working on returning in any league bar the Bendigo league so they can be left out of such an equation. Kyneton seem to be very happy where they are now.

I can't see Seymour even contemplating such a move and Moama killed off thoughts of a move a few months ago.

No ones heading to bendigo, they're in the process of losing their strongest club. Unless afl vic heavyweights intervene the bfl is dead and needs to merge with the gv for a two tiered comp

Leave the GVL completely out of any sentence involving Bendigo Footy.

The BFNL can have a 2 tiered comp with Heathcote League and Loddon Valley ( after Newbridge, Inglewood, Bridgewater, Serpentine head to Nth Central and Marong & MGYCW join Bendigo. Aplogies to Calivil,Miti, Pryamid who all have great histories but not sure where they fit in this conversation). There is plenty of scope with junior numbers for Marong and MGYCW along with Huntly, White Hills and North Bendigo to develop the capability to play Div1 football in this structure. If that enables a Kangaroo Flat to role back to Div 2 and build some success and build some momentum to get back where they belong in Division 1.

Of course the points system needs to be blown up prior to any of this being workable.

That's pretty short sighted, youve got a club on its knees that would love to play similar opposition that a two tiered comp between the leagues would provide.

It will actually take some forward thinking by major leagues to create interest. Id think theres 3 major leagues in the country that theres closeness in the comp, ovens and murray, Ballarat and Gippsland. The other leagues have gigantic gaps from the top and bottom clubs and will only get wider
