$6000 toasters, #fakefamily and made up copyright claims. Risks doing a Mirabella and turning a safe lib seat into a marginal.

For all the heat someone like Pilbaserk cops, at least she is fairly competent.

One of the worst front benchers for the current government and am unsure why she receives so little angst from coalition fans.

Even when she speaks she sounds illiterate. She is terrible she shouldn't be near a front bench

As far as "fake family" goes, I always assume every family in every ad (political or not) is made up of actors. The bogus copyright claim is simply bizarre, and unworthy of anyone wanting to stay in (or enter) parliament. When couple with her performance on Q&A, I wonder if she is simply unwell.

Kelly herself got where she is simply because of Peter Costello's backing, not it would seem because of any particular smarts on her part. Its very hard to see her losing Higgins, despite her best attempts and solid Green support in the western part of the electorate.

Think she's more than a tad concerned about the once blue ribbon seat. She spent most days outside the pre-poll booth in Glenferrie Road glad handing everyone who glanced in her direction. Agree she is grossly overrated.

The only person from the Libs that made sense all night was Sinodinis -

oh come on she could not be worse as a minister as hockey or dutton. the bar is pretty darn low (and include both sides in this, there is a shortage of talent) and my gripe is the 'player development' of political parties seems pretty non existent. don't they look at training and development to be better representatives and ministers?

They need to have a VFL level House of Reps so that politicians can be developed, played in their correct positions and dropped for poor form.

:D :thumbsu:

Should there be politician development all the way up from junior level as well perhaps? :)

Well, Kelly did that, started off in university politics - liberal side there - which meant for VSU and... not much else..apart being a punching bag for the heavily "left orientated" parties in control of Melbourne uni politics at the time - left focus/ broad left groups.

Far far too many come "through the system" as it is. Student politics, Young (insert party name), union and/or party offices, finally a chance at pre-selection if they spent enough years schmoozing the right people. And then, provided the served the party above the electorate, off to some taxpayer funded jaunt on some advisory board or another; or if high profile federally and a thorn in someone's side, talked into taking an ambassadorship above and beyond the people trained up with a career in international diplomacy.

We shouldn't be surprised O'Dwyer would appoint a worker hater to be her flunky. After all she takes instructions form the IPA as a fully paid-up member and apologist. Incompetent bitch!
