Roast Government trying to Kill Centerlink/Welfare

Or you know, attendance at job interviews.

Why are we championing lazy campaigners?

Well some people have Difficulties. IF You are Able then yes that Law is Fair but what IF you can't with a Legit Reason

If you try and piss off big business to much they simply move overseas and cripple our economy.

Forcing lazy dole bludgers (and there are lots of them, with no disability or anything) to start working is only a positive.
Agree on the second paragraph but if you believe Apple, Microsoft, Murdoch, Vodaphone and about another 100 companies will move out if Aust, then I have a bridge to sell.

Well then shows how Weak the Goverment is

Interestingly enough I have my wife's amended 15-16 return in front of me atm, out of $102,290 tax assessed, $40,080 went towards welfare.
Good for you! Nothing went to education, health and other services?

Companies like Apple have already left. They're here in body but all their profits and tax money gets sent to Ireland even though its generated in Australia.

Many more companies will follow (such as the car industry going overseas) if the Government tries to be too harsh on big business.

My maths isn't great, but I reckon there might've been a share of the remaining 60k that probably went towards that...

But you're right. If the lazy freeloaders actually went and sought a job like they're meant to be less could've gone to welfare and more to things that benefit everyone, and not just lazy *ers.

They were never here!
Do some more homework.

Please explain as I don't get your calculations.
I assume that X was gross and Y was tax so not sure why you would think $60 paid any money into those areas.

Just to get some balance into the discussion. Now none of these companies have done wrong legally, the are just using loopholes that currently exist in our tax system that neither major political party has seen to close in the past. I think it has been due to public outcry, that they only doing something about it now.
Their accountancy bill must be enormous. There was also a list of individuals of Australians citizens who are also very wealthy but use every means to minimise their tax obligations.

Here is an example of how our tax dollars ares spent.

Think that people like Lambie, Hanson and Bernardi need to do a bit more homework rather than just just welfare bash unless we want to see our aged pensioners and disabled homeless.

If you want to object to something, try the billion dollars that we are going to loan Adani.

Again, I am not detracting from the many that decide to live together in one house and have not intention of working.

Nope, he said his wife was assessed for roughly $100k worth of tax. 40% of that went to welfare payments.

I've just put a similar number (ie. $300k taxable income, $110k tax assessed) through a Sydney Morning Herald tax calculator (not the best source but will do for illustrative purposes) and it's produced a broadly consistent split. $39k to the dole bludgers, $17.5k to health, $8.2k to education, $6.6k to defence and $9.2k to families, $15.5k to aged care and the balance to other minor services.

All of the 39K went to dole bludgers?
Again, you don't seem to comment about the Billions on the other side of the coin.
Has Hanson got to you?

Think yourself fortunate that your wife is in such well paid employment. I know a couple of degreed people not so fortunate but still working but not in the area of their quals. Still a job is a job.
Tax assessed is a little different from what you owe in the end, no deductions or is that what is due?

Do you have a problem that it also goes to the disabled and aged pensioners and some genuine single parents and unemployed?
What about the big business that don't pay any tax and the burden is placed on the wage earner?

For me, I am happy to contribute, more so than what is going to spent on defence and the money for transport. Communication is a joke.
