I think Treloar underperformed in 2017. He looked a bit lame to me. The rating is a 2018 expectation. If he doesn't improve then he's a B grader. I rate his kicking above Adams' but it isn't anywhere near Pendlebury. Adams is just poor though. He has an B+/A- game with c feet and poor decisions making. He's overrated. Hawks Mitchel is a long long way ahead and he gets criticised.

You are being overtly critical for the times he does burn it vs the times he hits up targets that are to advantage. Adams needs to cut down on the direct turnovers and if he stops trying to kick the leather off even short passes he will likely improve it.
Stabs at it too much every kick when it pays off it looks great when it doesn't its facepalm worthy especially on the short kicks which is where it often goes awry. I think his 2017 was actually very good and as a whole better then Treloars.

Mitchell imo is a tad overrated across the boards but still a great (gun) player especially towards the latter part of his career (where he formed a great centre team with Lewis, Hodge Burgoyne and co looked a fish out of water with WC) more then his early stuff imo.

Treloar is not much better for direct turnovers and has a fair bit of lolipop to his kicking often getting a lot of hang time.

Joke of an article. Kruezer in off the back of a good season. Riewoldt not despite going at an average of 60 goals a season for 8 seasons in a row now. Jeremy Cameron not even on the borderline list, averages over 50 goals per season for last 5 seasons. Consistent durable KPFs are the gold of the comp.

He's still an A-grader but I see your point, no point having a broken down Lamborghini in the garage if it's just to tell your friends you have one.

While not a great flag list, like the Doggies, we are kidding ourselves if we are saying are somehow not far off them.

The biggest difference between the lists and the area where we are most deficient is top end class. Tigers have the best mid in the game, the best KPD in the game and one of the best few KPFs in the game as well as another top class A grade mid. Especially with Martin, Rance and Reiwoldt we have no one one our list who gets close to them or looks like they will in the next few seasons.

The Tigers small forward line was totally reliant on a hard working, pressure contributing AGrade KPF. No Riewoldt type and they can't win. In addition when it came down to it all their champs performed big time on the big stage when it mattered. Not saying we can't improve but the difference between their top end and ours is stark.

We were also right under the media pump again and when the pressure valve was released we seemed to enjoy our footy and results showed this.
If i remember wasnt Dusty shopped around heavily for very little last contract, no takers

Exactly - despite all the so-called "analysis", game plans, zone this, something else that, game is still played on a oval with big sticks at each end, 18 blokes on the ground at one time etc. Would be innovative if coaches focussed on what has not changed rather than over complicating and over analysing - plaster this quote on each coach's home screen - but I live in hope........

Without going through the whole list I'd just say we have too many c graders and not enough elite talent in key areas. Obviously, we have massive holes in our Key position roles both in attack and defense.

How does what we paid for him diminish his rating? He is either A-grade or he isn't. Definite A-grade for mine even on his diminished 2017 output due to apparent injury issues.
