Wirrapanda was an AA backpocket in 2005 because he played on small forwards.
Headlands has not been a gun since he left Brisbane, this year he has been solid.
Cox > Sandilands > Seaby

Wirra was in my side in the other pocket.

Fair enough about Headland, but he has been better than Staker and Fletcher.

Agreed on the last point, Cox was my starting ruckman.

I think my side was quite good.

What was the reason for Murphy instead of Lynch at FF?

The "last 3 overall" - you mean the Exhibition game in London and a NAB cup game. Not many footy supporters would be bragging about winning those sort of games. But then again you are a Freo supporter and you must be used to clutching at straws. The only meaningful win you had against the Coasters this year was when Freo took the lead in the last 60 seconds of the game, hardly convincing.
For the record, I quite specifically noted the regular season game, and noted the others, I am not bragging - but merely pointing out that Jod is a pole smoker.

Do you agree with his assesment, only 2 Freo players would make your best 22?

BTW in the meaningful games West Coast lead Fremantle 17 - 6.
Thanks, important to note such valid points.
Graham > Johnson
Uhuh, Karl Langdon, is that you?

Also another thing is that Murphy straightens up a forward line, unlike lynch who leads side ways etc

Only thing good about Lynch is his raking ability to kick a country mile.

Lynch is only 23, besides form and performance should really be the criteria rather than potential.

If it were on form for this season, then Lynch would definitely be FF. I was more selectiing what side I would like for this weekend and into the future.

Murphy is a natural FF, I think he played in the juniors as a forward.

Lynch played quite a bit of footy at CHB for West Perth and has only been playing full time at FF for 2 and a bit years in the big time. When you take into account that he had OP in the last 6 games in 05 and he couldn't take a chest mark he's done OK. After Kicking 47 goals at FF this year he deserves a spot in Kenny's SOO team.

tHATS A TEAM FOR THE FUTURE NOT CURRENT, BUT TBH EITHER OF THE TWO ARE OK...BUT ILL HAVE paV INSTEAD

It wasn't a SOO side.

1) It was an Eagles/Freo side.

2) It wasn't based on this season alone.

My mistake putting SOO there, must of been thinking about another thread.:p

johnson is not bad, he kicks it like a mongbean though, and makes lots of clangers. graham is better.

I have a manta that goes through my head when Johno gets the ball. I started out saying it aloud but I seemed to be repeating the obvious. It goes like this.

"Johno always hits a target."

True he makes a few errors he averages 2.2 a game to Grahams 2.

In over all performance though he's way ahead of Graham.

Considering the amount of games the eagles have won and the calibre of the midfielders delivering the ball to full forward, my grandmother could kick 50 goals for west coast!

If Fevola was at the eagles he would kick 110 goals a year.

way ahead? hes like under 4 possessions more a game and a few stats here and there, and considering freo were notorious backline chippers early in the season id say these stats are hardly grounds to say that johnson is way ahead of graham.

There are a few more indicators besides pure stats.

Ie.
As of round 15 Johnno was 2 to Pav in BF Fremantle player of the year.
He has 9 points in the Bigfooty player of the year award.
He is 2nd or 3rd in the ABC awards.
He will get more Brownlow votes than your man.

The list can go on and on.

Your man can't hold a candle to Michael Johnson.

If anyone had any doubts...

In fact, I'd take Johnson ahead of Lynch and Hunter. This kid is very talented, and can play back, forward and on the wing.

Well duh.... ;)

Johnno >>> Graham - and by quite some distance.

Lynch showed today that when he's up against a quality FB he's really not that good.

And Adam "Ratface" Hunter is waaaaaaay over-rated.

That's all. :)

On todays performance I'd take Kizons, Judd, Glass and ummm, Daniel Metropolis looked like he delivered messages well.

Graham MAY be able to match Johno in the negating sense.. but as a rebounding attacking defender, Magic has been simply magic this year. Great to see him start at CHF today, and that he lists Carey as the greatest player he's seen... I can see him being the CHF, Murph at FF and Pav roaming around where ever he wants.

Johnson was impressive but it is alot easier to play in defence when you don't have an opponent.

Lynch never had the opportunity except in the 1st quarter to go one on one against McPharlin because of the uber flood that was employed. Still he kicked 2 goals in a team that was well beaten, not great but not disgraceful.

Adam Hunter has just comeback from 4 weeks with a knee injury. He is a proven player especially in clutch situations in Finals. He is definitely not overrated.

i think both teams have done pretty well for themselves with these blokes - almost identical physiques - really important to their respective clubs in the future - they will only get better too

only diff i have noticed is that graham plays on an opponent and gives a pretty good account of himself - whereas johnson is looser than paris hilton

Johnson was our FB for the first 11 games this season and did a fantastic job.

But with McPharlin back there, we are deciding to free up Johnson because he is so talented.

right-o

what i have seen of him i have been very impressed - seems to bring his own footy sometimes, got a pretty cool head on his shoulders - big find for freo

And Bell? Well I almost fell off my chair laughing so hard. How out of place would that little seagull look in our midfield.

His most penetrating kick goes about 30 metres, I could outrun him in a sprint he is that slow and he only ever picks up cheap possesions which never hurt the opposition. Fletcher isnt the most damaging of midfielders either but is far superior to Bell.
Looks like Ross Glendinning and the rest of the media scrum also agree that you are a pole smoker of the highest order - and lets face it, Ross Glendinning is an astutue judge of same.

hahaha, good work Jod - anyone else you wish to line up - can you bag out Pavlich, leading to a norm smith for me? Thanks in advance.
