Went to watch the ladies play the Bulldogs the day after the men's Prelim. I'd heard a few bits and pieces about how we were trying out some new things with our ball movement but it was the first time I'd seen it live and in person.

We won the game but I reckoned we looked miles off it. I thought it was an exercise well worth pursuing given North's dominance both this season and last. But at the time it looked very much a work in progress and something which was likely to take until well into next season to bear fruit.

That may still be the case but even so it's been a remarkable effort to get this far. Well done ladies and coaches

Hello all.
Should be a good day for our low-to-the-ground types.
Belle, Courtney, Jade, Ellie, Charlotte and the Svarcs.
They will have to be at it all game though.
And Orla will need to be a bit tidier with her ball-handling.
Admittedly it was warm and humid for the PF but she was very fumbly.
And please. No undisciplined acts from Sophie and Daks.
Admire the Roos but after the frothing they and Carlton have received over the
past few weeks it would be so sweet to get this done.
The Brisbane girls are just not respected to the extent they should be.

We have improved a lot in the later part of the season.
I am way more confident in winning tonight than i was mid-season.
