When will the AFL work out that a huge stadium filled with people - during the day - who are keen to watch footy is not the place to put on little concerts.

Just checked on You tube. KISS performed at 1999 Superbowl in the pre game and only sang Rock and Roll All Nite. Plenty of fireworks and smoke and in daylight. Also had what looked to be a few hundred female dancers in KISS makeup on the field. Previously they have done the Supercars over in Adelaide, the grand prix at Albert Park and now the Newcastle gig. They put on a show with fireworks, fire breathing and other gimmicks, that's what you know you'll get. Wouldn't have hurt to approach them, knowing they would be in the country.

Everyone does fireworks and s**t. BBL and NRL and even AFL now have fire shooting from barrels as players enter and what not. It's tired and cliche and appeals to a bogan neanderthal spirit of 'flame cool'.
