I was allocated so called "premium seats" ($200 each) which were right up the back underneath the Level 2 tier of the Olympic Stand. We couldn't see the main scoreboard, the top of the nearest goal posts, and some parts of the ground

I mean, I was 1 row away from "restricted viewing standing room". Therefore, how is it possible that our seats were defined as "premium" seats when they are 1-2 metres away from a restricted viewing area???

I asked the MCC staff and they said that the AFL define the seating

I ask that any supporters who have been screwed over to post their complaints here, and also contact the club, the AFL and the MCC to express their anger

As football fans this is disgraceful treatment

I am also extremely disappointed in the GFC for allowing this to happen (especially in our case since we were so called "September" Members)

Sorry Mate but Boo F#$ken who to U.....Go join another team

So many fans (including me) missed out on tickets and would have given my right nut for a ticket to see the cats win their first flag in 44 years.

Feel free to change clubs or just enjoy the fact that you will be able to always tell the story of how you were watching live the Mighty Geelong Cats win a premiership that seemed only possible in a dream 12 months ago.

My god - we just achieved the single biggest thing this club has ever or proabably will ever do and you whinging about 200 bucks

Please go joing Carlton - when they make the GF (year 3000) hopefully they can get you front row seats - would you prefer aile seat?

FFS!

At least you were there.
Someone on the main board said there was about 2000 spare seats somewhere, so you're right they did screw it up.
The amounts of corporates there was stupid too.
Yeah you probably should have gotten better seats, but oh well.
At least you're not 5'3" because having tall people sit in front of you is a nightmare...

Yeah I wasn't going until Friday.

Then I was given an MCC guest Pass.

Paid $0 and got to sit 4 rows from the front on the 50 :D

I am the same as you. I couldn't even hear the siren!! So much for preminum seating. I spoke to Staurt Fox about it and he said its the AFL's fault!!

I couldn't hear the siren either - that really sucked!

Yeah, okay I take it back about it being GFC's fault - clearly AFL mark out the seating

I will still be contacting club, AFL and MCC though

and yes I was still happy to be there!!

Two seperate issues - both legitimate complaints if you ask me. Nowhere near enough seats allocated to fans of the two clubs. And seats being sold as premium seats when they are not.
