Losing a grand final is the worst feeling in the world. It's like a part of you dies and you know you'll never get it back again. Especially when you know you might not get back there for another 20 years or more.

Feeling excited!

The unexpected surprise I sense is nothing negative will happen if we lose... it would be a missed opportunity, but the whole world won't tear us apart for months if we don't win. Nobody even expected us to play finals, there's literally no pressure on us.

So I'm feeling a sense of freedom now.

And every now and then a primal urge in me says:

Go out there and kill 'em!!

If we lose, so be it.

We've got a young list and will only get better.

Items around the home have been colour coded according to value. Red means it can't be replaced - don't throw (mums ashes). Orange means you can replace it but it'll hurt after (photos of the kids).Green means okay to throw (mum in law ashes).

Shitting myself but I'm feeling really prepared actually.

Last time North were in the granny i was only a kid.
So the day was just a fun day and i didn't have much nerves.

As an adult now if North were in the big one.
I'd be shitting bricks but still hopefully it happens before i'm old lol.

I imagine both supporters will have constant butterflies on Saturday.

Your team has won two in the last, what, 10, 12, 15 years?

My team lost their only one. I was there.

I really don't think about it that often.

Like life is worse than seeing your team be shit.

Was a teenager when we went back to back in 97/98. Awesome feeling. Older and wiser now. Much more feeling.
Been an Atlanta Falcons fan sine '92. Was absolutely beside myself when we lost the Superbowl this year. If the Crows follow suit I will be a shell of a man.

My brother is a Sydney supporter and that's what he told me, it's either the best day of your life or the worst. Probably a touch exaggeration in both aspects but still I got his point.

I still think losing in 2012 was the reason we were able to win the next 3. The players never wanted that feeling again.

I thankfully wasn’t in the country at the time so was able to avoid all the media and people giving me sh*t afterwards but it still felt horrible. After we won in 2013 it was more a feeling of relief than anything.

On the flip side, winning 1 is an incredible feeling. 2008 was my first one where I was old enough to really know what was going on and i’ll never forget the pure joy I felt that day.

I'm surprisingly relaxed about it actually.

Earlier in the week I thought it just hadn't hit me, but now I'm figuring that, worst case, we're still way ahead of what anyone expected, and we're serious underdogs, so it really takes a lot of the pressure off.

It's like playing the lottery....Nobody really expects to win, so you don't care so much if you lose, but you still dream, and on the off chance a win comes through, you just know you'll go nuts.

Must say I'm feeling more excited than last week, last week I was just super nervous but much more relaxed and just taking it all in. On the flip side I feel uneasy thinking about a loss and the realization that it's taken us 35 years to get back here who knows if the next one will take just as long. When I think of that it makes me hope we take our chance now as it might be a while before we get another one.

Losing a prelim is worse. Even if you lose a gf you get to experience the build-up and the day...the anthem, the roar at the 1st bounce and the belief your team might just win a flag

Yeh I get the tigers fans calmness. Doggies not being expected to win any final last year gave me a feeling of either way weve made it so was just really excited and was confident we wouldnt get blown out with our gamestyle. The prelim was nerveracking as Damn if GWS had made a GF before us I probably wouldve spewed and been so dirty on AFL. So was just grateful for the dogs to be in it.

Feeling pretty good about it all to be honest. I think being underdogs and not even being expected to play finals definitely helps.
Richmond can hardly be considered "underdogs". Victoria has being going wild for them this week. So much hype. Everyone on Talking Footy last night tipped them. Adelaide is strolling into town today completely under the radar, bizarrely.

Collingwood had a young list in 2010 and everyone thought they were on the verge of a dynasty. Yeah howd that work out for them? They snagged 1 flag in their time which is obviously good for them but they were 1 dodgy bounce away from having to rebuild without a flag to their name.

Your list might be young and it might get better but so too will all the other lists. Don't take for granted that cause you never know when you'll be at the big dance again. I was shittin bricks before the 07 gf cos id seen us lose 89 onwards as a young fella and I thought if we choke again there's a chance we might waste another generation of players. Good luck I think you'll need it against the crows.

From a realistic fan point of view, we are an underdog. From a betting point of view, we are an underdog.

Media hype is media hype, it always surrounds the Tigers.
