Victorians continue to be cringeworthy.

As a proud Victorian, sending up that strip of grass was a joke. Everything since then (placement, that footage) is all down hill.

Everyone talks about the Collingwood army, or the the Richmond army. But if you travel around Australia, you meet more Cats fans than anyone. The country Victorian club for over a century. They get my vote.

Everyone jumps on a winner. There are so many Liverpool supporters in Australia myself included.

Had the radio on yesterday but not really listening, then heard Dwayne Russell say something about the kick across still being on........thinking about that, I thought how it couldn't be done down here over the Yarra like it usually is or else people in droves would turn up, which is against Covid rules.......then wondered if he meant the Brisbane river.

Lucky the AFL decided on a night GF.
The usual time of 2.30 pm (24 minutes from now) would not have been great

I had Tigers as favourites before this weather, unfortunately I can't see them being beaten now, their bashing the ball forward chaos footy is ideally suited to wet and/or slippery conditions.

Game tip- Even if Dusty as a quiet game but has 1 or 2 "Ohhhh you just gotta love Dusty don't ya" moments from sycophant Bruce he gets the Norm Smith.

Below Brisbane rainfall since 9 AM.
So far about 30mm in CBD area.
A huge 86mm at Camp Hill being 2 suburbs over so avoided that downpour.
Should break up soon.
The next band of possible rain appears at Roma so sometime till we see what that will turn into.

The AFL did a very good job to get the season completed and arrive at this Grand Final day. But one decision proved to be wrong
With my Lions hat on it was disappointing they scheduled the bye after the H & A season
Without the bye this game could have very easily been Lions v Port.
But even if the opponents are the same as today the game would have been played last Saturday with weather being vastly different

Watching the 2001 grand final on TV this morning showed just how good Bruce was back then. Now he is either growling over Dusty/Danger or asking one of trade marked rhetorical questions

That decision was made five years ago.

Not saying it's right, but that's the way they've had it for a while now - it wasn't a COVID thing.
