Doesn't it work off the 'first' barcode that is registered?
For example I'm registering 3 barcodes, me, dad and my best mate.
If my barcode is pulled out as a 'winner' in the ballot then all 3 of us get to go, or if not, then none of us get to go.
I dont think it works off all 3 of us having to be pulled out of the ballot as 'winners' - they're tattslotto type odds...
Ooooooh, now I get it. Thank you, your explaination is very good. You should be a teacher BnW. :)

Why? If there is less of you, wouldnt it increase the chance of getting a ticket?? (I vaguely recall doing probability once upon a time in maths!!).. if just ONE person in your group of 8 misses out then you all miss out?!

I have a headache..
That's the point - it doesn't work like that.

I highly doubt that if you registered a group of eight, all eight of you would have to be randomly selected for all of you to get tickets. That would be approximately (1/3)^8 chance, or 0.015%.

As BlueNWhite says, if the first member is chosen, then all in the group are.

You therefore increase your odds if you are prepared to split your group.

I have been trying for 1 & half hours to dial the 1300363142 number to register for the GF ballot & cannot get through as it is constantly engaged. Anyone had the good fortune of getting through since 11AM?:(
