Now that adelaide is out I will be a swans supporter for a week. I was in perth last year for the GF and want the same reaction again. Pubs full of blue and yellow getting boozed up only to have to cry themselves to sleep that night. Last year the news footage was hillarious with all the tears and talk of next year.

Nothing against Sydney but I'll be rooting for West Coast, just like to watch them play (when they're not beating us) and like the way blokes like Judd, Cousins and Embley go about their football. Wouldn't be heartbroken if they lost though.

Barracking for the Eagles but only because they're the team I grew up knowing.

If I wasn't a West Australian I'd probably think they were a bunch of stuck-up, head-strong, pretty boys (well, I think that anyway) and want to see them pounded to the bottom of the ladder and stay there. I'd be envious of their largely home-grown midfield and ability to keep best player going around - the Victorian, Chris Judd - on their team.

But as it happens, I'm from WA and love em, Gardiner and all. Go Eagles!

I was in Freo in 87 for the america's cup, just when Indian Pacific had won the license. the papers were full of gloating towards us, how we were so stupid, they were so smart, we should joing too, you just watch... blah blah blah. now that put me off the t8ssers for life, but whilst there are a couple of decent supporters, then new breed of BF weagles are just chips off the old block.

as a footnote, you all know we resisted joining the AFL as the terms were right; the terms Indian Pacific nearly bankrupted the WAFL. they agreed to terms such as paying all the travelling air fares, accomodation of the victorian clubs, as well their own well travelling. almost all of the gate went back to the vfl etc. etc. my granny negotiated better terms for her vegies at the central market than these clowns.

A large part of the reason the VFL backed down on their demands towards us, when when IP when into receivership, and they had to rely on the WAFL and water down the terms to some reasonable.

but in short, the WCE lot have been arseclowns for quite some time.

Agree with you there. Didn't watch last years as I was somewhere over the South China Sea, so wouldn't really want to miss another one. Dissapointing that we are not there of course, but would love to see the "worst ever team to win a premiership" to win a back to back. A big **** off to Victoria and the rest of the country.
