The position was advertised in The Age newspaper the year Mick Malthouse joined the club. My dad applied for one of the jobs and got it. The first season I just went along to watch, but I got asked if I was interested in helping for the following year.
I've been doing it ever since. I love it. I get to do and see so many things the average fan doesn't.
True, but I'm much prefer drinking with the players in the change rooms after a Grand Final win, then drinking in the stands or at home in front of the TV.
