Let’s hope those 2 years missed will add another 2 onto his career. The knee is sound, hopefully the rest of the body holds up to the rigours of AFL footy moving forward. We need more too end talent like him in the side so Good luck Birch!!
I'm sure the mind is fairly refreshed now too. Would realise how close he is/from the end and what to play for as long as the body allows

it's an upgrade from what he last played with. Hardwick/Sicily have solidified themselves since then. Impey's in for Duryea. Frawley in for Brand. TOB in for Heatherley. Only downgrade is stratton for hodge.

Good game by Birch. Got caught Holding it once, but that was expected after 2 years out. No injuries to him (and Chad) we're a big positive.

Played like he hadn’t missed a beat. Super impressive return considering everything he’s been through. We’re a better side with him in it, simple.
Absolutely we are. We have more options when looking at the magnets too, because we have that composed experience to steady us even if Impey, Hardwick of Sic roam up the ground.

Clarkson is in no hurry to retire him. On the track he is just a class above the rest of our players apart from maybe sicily. Hardly misses a target even with his round the corner kicks. If he stays fit for the rest of the year he will go around next year. Thats a given

Yes he was good against the Lions, solid and composed.
Dropped a gimme overhead mark but then again overhead marking was never his strength.
Definitely goes around again next year if the body holds up.
