I reckon we would be crazy to play him. what for? The chance to get 4 useless points and possibly give up 7th pick in the national draft to freo?

the guys needs some time off and let someone else have a go for a few weeks.

out: grant, kritter (same rationale as grant), hunter (form)
in: power, mitchell, wiggins

Agree that time off would be good, however, this week's not the week to do it.

I think he'll want to play in Libba's last game and Darce's 150th. Same for Kretiuk.

Experiment next week. ;)

I think Gilbee along with a few others should come in before Wiggens. Penny should be in too. I think Hunter and Saunders will probably be dropped. Hunter surely cannot be kept in for another week.

If Grant is injured he should rest, the season is over. And you guys are right every player available is going to want to play in this historic fixture.

IN POWER PENNY

OUT ????????

Next week

IN GILBEE PICKEN

OUT Libba, ?????

But Hunter played well last week....

I think Picken and Bartlett should be brought in for the last few games to give them one final chance... even though Picken hasnt really had an opportunity to prove himself.

I thought Bartlett was running into some red hot form (by his standards anyway...) just prior to getting dropped earlier this year. Why did we keep him this season?

Totally agree. If any of our players are not desperate to play this week they should be cleared to the dockers for free!!!!!!!!!!!

With regard to the changes for this week I would bring in Penny for sure if he is fit with Saunders the unlucky one to miss.

Over the next few weeks, Gilbee, Cross and McGuinness should be worked into the team too. I would also like to see Wiggins given a go just so a decision can be made on his retention.

Barts was on contract, couldn't trade him so we had to keep him or pay him out.
He will provide with duds banter in the years to come.

Don't even mention it, people on this board have now decided that even when Hunter plays well they would prefer to deny it and say he was poor.

Personally I don't see how going onto a guy who had ripped us apart for a quarter and keeping him to 2 touches over the next 2 quarters and then 4 in the last quarter when the game is lost is a poor game, but I am obviously just showing my bias.

As a defender you really need to do more then give your opponent an absolute towelling, perhaps you can go forward and kick 1 goal a week, get 3 kicks and become untouchable!!!

You see they've (nearly) all decided Hunter is crap and have decided to ignore anything good he does

Its irrelevant that he's had 2 good games in a row.

When Tony McGuiness said he had to take his hat off to Hunter for the job he had done on Burton they all had they're TV screens muted. And when Burton got about 3 possesions at the start of the last quarter they all took the blinkers they had been wearing for the previous hour off and decided he was being soundly beaten

He could kick 6.1 this week and all some people on this board would remember was the point

We would remember that if it happened.

We do remember the kick straight to Burton in the 1st and the fact that he has been out of form for most of the year.

1 game stopping on an opponent who he should stop considering the size difference. Stopping an opponent a backman is something Crofty nearly does every week. Creating the play with minimal mistakes is another thing.
What is he in the side to do?
He wasn't even named in the best.

We remember he played well in the Sydney game after 1 stuff up in the first.
We remember the good game v Freo.
plus a few other good games.

We remember the fact Milne kicked 2 on him in 5 minutes. One cos he dropped a regulation mark.
The terrible turnover in the Collingwood game when we needed composure. (He actually played well until then).
Plus a few others.

The fact is we need him in the side because there is no one else. Which is possibly the one of the reason (depth) we aren't making the finals.

We all want the Bulldogs to win.
No matter how much I loved a player for his skill, courage, strength, etc (eg Libba), for me I know always its team over player first.
