This is from the EEFL President on Facebook:

"Good evening EEFL followers. Last monday night in Cummins, a representative from each of our 4 football & netball clubs and league executives meet our counterparts from the Great Flinders football league. Our aim was to pursue a joining of our 2 leagues. We had a very good round table discussion, with the outcome being that both leagues will continue as normal for 2020, but we will continue to have discussions throughout the year , looking towards making a decision later this year for 2021. I would like to thank the Great Flinders delegation for their open and honest discussions and making the evening worthwhile. Best wishes to all footy/netball clubs in both leagues for 2020.

Cheers"

Update on the Eyre Peninsula.

Wudinna United and Central Eyre have amalgamated to form Central Eyre United. Both clubs were in the Mid West FL and the new club is applying to join the Eastern Eyre FL.

Similarly, West Coast Hawks and Wirrulla are having talks with the Far West FL, with rumours the league will accept the two clubs and rename itself Western Eyre.

This leaves Elliston and Western Districts. Apparently there is a merger on the cards with the clubs or potential merged club looking to join the Great Flinders FL.
