In regards to Roo vs Carlton @ Optus Oval in 2001 - that is absolute my #1 memory of a player single handedly winning a game and probably my fav ever minor round victory by the Crows.

After Roo retired last year there was a full page tribute in the advertiser by various people recalling the many games on which he had a huge influence.

I still have the clipping because it mentioned that great day when he did the work of ten men by himself. Of that effort Kane Johnson said:

"My biggest memory of Roo is in 2001. He wasn't having his best year and we were all under the pump.
We went down to Optus Oval, it was a shocking day and Roo kicked four goals out of eight and dragged us over the line.
It was great stuff and one of my great memories of Roo."

Well said Kane. That's the kind of effort the spirit of the club can be built on.

Trent Ormond-Allen's effort as a ruckman against the Saints. Benny Hart's effort in the first half of the 98 GF. Shane Ellen in the 97 GF. Lots of Godra's goals, but for putting a team on his shoulders to win games it is a toss up between Shaun Rehn and the Roo.
