Bombers, Crows and North had some memorable one's in the 1990's. Carey and Co took over in those night games. The Finals. The Roos towelled up the Crows and Saints during mid to late 90's. That 1998 game was a beauty where Carey kicked 5 and North saluted. In front of 65,000 fans on a Saturday Night out at Waverley The Sainters led by 20 points at half time courtesy of a 6 goal 2nd quarter. They held a 16 point advantage going into the last before Courageous Carey took the game by the scruff of the neck and single handedly dragged North over the line. 5.6 to a solitary goal earned North the night premiership.

The Baby Bombers showed signs of what was to come after scalping the reigning premiers West Coast on their way to a win over Richmond in 1993. As did the Hawks in 1999 against another team in the making, Port Adelaide. Port lost to the Hawks who narrowly missed out on finals but The Power made the finals for the first time in 1999 and 2 years later started their rise to the top.

One Practice match that wasn't an official pre-season game was in 1994 where Peter Matera booted 4 goals in the third quarter against Geelong finishing with 6 for the day. He was an out and out champion one of the best ever. I think the Eagles may have won by 8 or so points. Stephen O'reilly got 4 for Geelong in a cracking affair.

1996 GF 66,000 fans Saints beat the reigning Premiers 20 goals to 10.

2005 Fevola kills West Coast.
