Not a fan of that at all. This is my favourite cover of Jolene.
Yeh, I know that's a given. Don't even know why I bothered to make that comment.Yeah, A Little Help.... & The Letter are fantastic.Cocker gets a mention for Never Tear Us Apart, but not for, With a Little Help from My Friends, She Came in Through the Bathroom Window, nor The Letter. You people are weird.Yeh, I know that's a given. Don't even know why I bothered to make that comment.
Jose Gonzalez' cover of Heartbeats is another good one.
I'd nominate Johnny Cash's cover of NIN's Hurt as the most over rated of all time. NIN's version sounds pained and depressed, Johnny's just goes through the motions.

And let's be honest, this wouldn't be a thread without some Boss
Was front row
The energy was electric, I really enjoyed it, but I am obviously biased though.Really?
I like a lot of his work but some of his covers/choices are terrible and that sounded awful. OTT bombast and growling vocals, could be any song.

Higher & Higher is kickass.
Iron Maiden's Wasted Years performed by Beth Patterson on the bouzouki
It's the most fun I've seen someone have with a song. The key change is great too, when he's dancing around. So SO good!
Was awesome and so it this, not really a cover because Darlene Love recorded it originally but backed by The Boss and the E Streeters (can't believe they left it off the Hall Of Fame DVD boxset):
Have you seen this?
Completely blew everyone away, what a way to start a show.
And while we're on the topic of Motown....
Might enjoy this too then, Chuck Berry cover.Yeah, I've played the Vedder one a few times but that's the first time seeing/hearing Heatwave - outstanding!!!
