Vote and discuss.

For me without a doubt its Radioheads 'OK Computer'. Still to this day it sounds as fresh as the first day i heard it. Can never tire of songs like 'Let Down' and 'Climbing Up The Walls'.

Other honorable mentions

Oasis- Definitley Maybe
The Verve- Urban Hymns
Massive Attack- Blue Lines

For me it is definitely Oasis' Definitely Maybe.

I would add the following as some excellent British albums from the 90's not on the list:

Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible
The Charlatans - The Charlatans
The Charlatans - Tellin' Stories
Travis - Good Feelin'
Stereophonics - Word Gets Around
Ash - 1977
Ocean Colour Scene - Moseley Shoals
The Seahorses - Do It Yourself
Suede - Suede
The Bluetones - Expecting To Fly
Cast - All Change
Catatonia - International Velvet
Supergrass - I Should Coco

Better tell them that as well then. Seriously Ray, to include friggin Stereophonics in this discussion is truly ridiculous. Same with The Bluetones, same with Catatonia, same with Cast.

1. COME CLEAN - Curve
2. DOPPELGANGER - Curve
3. CUCKOO - Curve
4. PUBLIC FRUIT - Curve
5. RADIO SESSIONS - Curve

For me, there was only one British Band in the 90's. Didn't get the recognition they deserved, which is a shame, as they were so much better than similiar bands like the Prodigy and Garbage.

Its just that Irish people are the ones that are more likely to beat your head in for calling them that.
The Irish minority in Northern Ireland might object, but that's it. With regards to Ash, they are considered a "British" band, just like most other Northern Irish bands.

When you look at some of those albums ive listed and then think the majority of those came out in the first half of the 90s, and then think what we have had since the start of 2000...im sorry but something has gone wrong somewhere. All these people that think Coldplay are 'the greatest band in the world today'...im sorry but they need to wake up and get a clue already.

With all due respect - Bollocks! :p

The albums that I listed there from Stereophonics, The Bluetones, Catatonia & Cast are top notch albums IMO.

plenty of good albums for consideration there but my personal favorite isnt, which is 'modern life is rubbish' by blur.

id also put forward 'different class' by pulp and 'in it for the money' by supergrass.

and while alot of people will laugh at me for this...im also a big fan of jamiroquai's 'emergency on planet earth' and 'return of the space cowboy'

oh yeah, the bluetones 'expecting to fly' is indeed a cracker

probably listen to 'modern life is rubbish' alot more (my fav. songs are on it), but overall, parklife is a more polished effort...
