Vs Port in 2015. Port made a prelim the year before and were considered contenders, were considered just a middle of the road team. It was as intense a finish a home and away game could be. I don't think anyone scored for the last seven or eight minutes of game time until Shuey kicked a goal with 10 seconds left.

Young Nelson, young Duggan, Sheed with a head of hair, Josh Hill getting his hands dirty! All in the last 10 minutes.

Young Duggan destroying Angus Wantfrees was a highlight of that one.

We had a ridiculous run of close wins over Port culminating in the consecutive after-the-siren victories. I think it was 2016 where the unlikely pairing of Kurt Mutimer and Brad Sheppard combined for a key late goal.

The dominos will never fall so perfectly again for this board as they did that week.

The build up of the inaugural Brad Scott Week which ended with Nic after the siren coupled with all the Brad gifs is something that will go down in WC BF folklore.

What a time to be alive.

Carlton made the finals in 2013 with 11 wins after Essendon got relegated to 9th for, err, governance issues.

North finished on 10 wins with losses by 1 point, 1 point, 2 points, 3 points, 4 points, 9 points.

Round 1 2007 vs Sydney. Grand final rematch in Sydney with the whole world against us and we were missing some key players including Cousins who was off to rehab.

Judd delivered a coat hanger to Hall in the opening minutes of the game and the game played out the usual way between the two sides with Kerr laying a match saving tackle towards the end. Great game and beast performances from Judd and Kerr.

Was there and they held a meet up with the SA fans. Was electric and better yet I forceda couple crows fans to come with me
Nice work. I dragged my missus to the post-match function in 2019 after we'd given her Crows a 5 goal head start and stormed home in the last quarter. She was not amused.

It remains the longest time that BigFooty was down for non-server maintenance/upgrade related issues.

The build up was the perfect storm - North also had a few close losses that year, the whinging about West Coast Duckers was at its peak, and there was question marks over Woosha and Brad Scott's job securities.

The away game in Adelaide when Woosha dismantled the Crowbots game plan. Handball and run!

Jason Ball snapping a late goal at Victoria Park to beat the Pies. We were the only visiting side to have a positive win loss record there.

Brisbane coming to Perth for a routine early season win to extend the attempt at a record winning streak across seasons after one of their flags. Flew out of the blocks kicking the first three goals but then lost by a fair margin to an emerging Eagles. Lynch never travelled as health being managed.

The best wins seem to be those when you are not expected to win, go in hopefully and then bask in the glory.

2019

Round 9 Vs Melbourne - We come storming home in the last quarter to win, Ryan's mark over Gawn put us ahead

Round 10 Vs Adelaide - Down by 30 odd in the third, we fight back against them at their home and Oscar Allen puts us ahead with a smart tap on over the top with not long to go

Wild seeing Scotty Cummings playing at CHB on Mitchell White. I only ever remember the big fella as a forward.

Watched the last 5 min. Amazing goal by Muddy. McKenna was immense. Benny Cousins wearing 35 taking contested marks.
Brett Heady back from injury playing on the half back line. Fraser Gherig manning up James Hird.

One that almost ended bad, Hird and Sheedys last game in 2007.

That inspired last quarter by Scott Lucas was not of this world.

We went from a comfortable lead to almost losing in the blink of an eye.

2006? The last time I think we won at Kardinia Park.

Was watching the game on a delayed telecast and the cats were smashing us by like 50 points, I was about to turn it off when my dad (who was listening to the game live on the radio) sent me the following sms message:

"Hang onto your hats, the eagles are coming"

By that point we were into the 3rd quarter and they led by like 60 points or something ridiculous and I was thinking "what is this silly old fool talking about!?"

Still, he had me intrigued and I had nothing else to do that day, so I figured "what the hell" and resolved to watch the rest of the game.

Cue one of our biggest and best fightbacks away from home in the clubs history. Culminating with an Embley bomb from way outside 50 that won us the game.

We went on to win the flag that year. You would almost called that game season defining 😉

I was at that one as well. I remember seeing Lycett’s family at the function (he was a traveling emergency I think) and they were all giants like him.

Also remember telling, with extreme confidence, my NOJAF mate that the player standing closest to us was new arrival Jamie Cripps. It was actually new arrival Mark Hutchings. In my defence I’d been celebrating pretty hard.

Mick Malthouse's last win as eagles coach was Qualifying final against Footscray. We got up in the dying seconds and it was my favorite game as an eagles fan until the 2018 grand final.
If i recall, Malthouse broke his hand in the coaches box in the dying seconds pounding a wall :p

Hard to enjoy it without recalling the VFL shafting that had us playing Carlton the next week at the MCG instead of Subi.
