I never saw him play, but my parents are always claiming the best footballer they saw before WC was Micky Aylett. Apparently, he was a champion ruck rover, and one of our best ever.

Played as ruckrover in his 3 yrs at North.
Captain of first premiership and B&F winner.
Honourable mention to Matty Larkin and Slammimg Sam Kekovich.

I agree with you croode ,in that a place in this team would have to be found for Barry Davis.

He like Wade and Rantall came in 1973 and retired in 1975 when they won the Flag.

Davis played ruck Rover in this side!!

Blight came in 1974 and finished in 1982.

Obviously he would have learnt a lot from Davis,Wade and Rantall who were very experienced(champs) in their positions.

If Blight were selected as RR then Davis would be on HFF and vice versa!!

Blight won his Brownlow in '78 playing as a rusk-rover so he gets my vote. I remember him kicking 8 against Richmond as a r-r and we still lost!
