Where are the sources of him being chased by the Suns? As for #13 being used, well... not sure it will be. Direct quote from Ashcroft:

Broughton won a F&B at Subiaco under Watters.

Despite what I've read here, he can play inside mid - in fact he is well suited to that role - or can play half back flank or half forward flank. Is exceptionally strong overhead as well which allows him to compete in the air against much taller blokes.

Liked the idea in another thread of Pick #15 from NM to Freo, Broughton to PA and Jacobs and Port's #31 to North. Can't see it happening but that would be an acceptable outcome.
 
The latest thing now is Pears for Broughton. Dunno about that one. Should the bombers chuck in a second rounder as well?;)

I think the same dude said Prismall for Gysberts.
Still, Pears for Broughton would be a win for Bombers. Bigtime. Pears would be mainly depth whereas Broughton will make a BIG difference in the guts

Kind of mystified why Freo want to trade him. He is hard as a cats head, hits the packs hard and is good extractor

His work in the air very underrated, he is great on the medium forwards. Stevie J has nightmares about Broughton.

If he went to Port he would be in their top 2 midfielders

I think you need to look at the Port list more or watch them more often if you think thats the case. Broughts is very good no doubt and his best is as a defender, but as a mid everyday i would prefer Boak, Hartlett, Ebert.

Lets not get carried away with the Broadbent and Gray calls, theres only so far i can go with this Port support.

You need to watch them more then mate, they may be a shit team but there is some pretty handy individuals on that list.

Maybe Boak??? I really rate Broughton as a player and he is much better than Ebert, but hands down Boak is a better and more important player. Theres a reason Geelong went hard after this guy.
Off the top off my head trengove and butcher would be worth a lot more than broughton...I'm sure theres a few others. Broughton imo worth a pick in the range 18-25.

Boak, Ebert, Hartlett, Butcher, Trengove, Wingard, Broadbent, Schulz and maybe Pittard would all have better trade currency, not to suggest they are all better players but have more value.

I agree. Pears was awesome in his first couple of years, but it's doubtful he'll get back to that level. Broughton is a sure thing.

Pears and a 2nd Round pick for Boughton I'd be happy with however Tayte Pears has bluntly refused to be traded so there is almost no chance of that happening.

LOL at Broughton being better than Brad Ebert. Didn't see Broughton getting into any top 50 lists for the year. Watch more football.

Umm ... the world in which he occasionally wins us matches? Did it twice this year. We wouldn't have beaten North Melbourne or the Demons without Stewart.
