This article from the Aussie gives a completely different slant to the one printed in The Age. It seems his manager says the right things to the rugby journos and the right thing also to the AFL heartland. It's hard to know whether we're been played, or whether he really would like to play AFL if the Souths deal falls over. Something tells me the former.

I would be signing him up for 3-4 years to stop him going back to league after a year or two.

Waste of time going for Inglis. Yes he's a great athlete but he's already behind the eight-ball missing half the preseason so is underdone from the get go. For me i'd rather see guys like Hibberd, Heppell and Steinburg play seniors than some promotional tool.

Comparing Inglis to the likes of Judd, Cus, Didak and Buddy is just plain moronic. They are light years ahead in ability than Inglis ever will. He's not the player he used to be either in the NRL Slater is miles ahead.
