for some reason (kidney??????????).

I couldn't say for sure but I think he didn't play on much more as he had major back problems I believe.

He used to cop a lot of stick for not kicking more goals than he did (more from the media than supporters), which was ridiculous. Jezza was a hard act to follow.

Pity his career was so short, but he was a stick throughout. Think Matthew Lappin just as the era of life-threatening Full Backs was coming to an end.
