Was chief of your club collingwood in the past.Never heard of him
Well said - I second this. He built the foundation of the club that we love and celebrate today and secured our future via the Springfield Base and the new Stadium at Vic Park. I really hope they get him in front of the crowd at the WB game in a few weeks. I will be on my feet with a standing ovation for the man.Massive Loss for the Lions best of luck Swanny thanks for everything you have done for the Lions
you could have just stopped thereCan't help but think they've purposely appointed a guy
Not to worry - Victorians won't be completely forgotten. Swann is also the former CEO of Collingwood and Carlton so he'll certainly take into consideration the needs of the big Victorian clubs. Probably not your club, though...you could have just stopped there
Excellent appointment. All part of the plan.
While the news was broadly welcomed at club level, some clubs – St Kilda being the most vocal – have been agitating for changes to the talent academies in the northern states. Those arguing for change might find that Swann, given his experience as Lions chief executive, is unpersuaded by their academy concerns.
ROAR!you could have just stopped there
Our plans are measured in centuries:
