Ended up paying more than that.. but can see it being that short to win tonight as well. Will probably be < $1.50 but it's last run was great and should win again.
Good name
Beats bank interest, never in doubt. Two bets today, two wins, but at that price, nothing to brag about lol. Good dog. Wonder how far he could go if he ever breaks out fast..

Good work there Nuke. Your right about the early pace. Might be tried at the distances if can't ping the lids. Early days.

Hey Rizzo. Are you using betfair tonight?

Hey mate, nah not betfair. I very rarely use Betfair (due to the minimum bet). Today for interests sake I am only putting $1 e/w on these tips. I think the minimum for Betfair is $5. :(

Nice win by top class angel :D

DAY 20

THE MEADOWS

Race 1

#1 PUNK NORRIS Came up with the lids in the heat, was squeezed early and copped another check at the bend. Has an inside draw here and will get plenty of luck for that reason. Ran home quite strong and scored the second fastest heat win in wet conditions. Which is a great performance. In a good kennel and should win here.

#2 LIVIO BALE Another from the Wheeler/Daily combination. Pinged the lids last time in a first split of 5.11. Had an absolute dream run, but didn't post the best time. Although was first race of the day and did use some of the track. Must include for exotics.

#3 WHITE WARRIOR Quite slow out of the boxes, went to the rail and got a dream run through in the heat. Ran on quite strongly in the end, which in those conditions is a great sign. With the two inside runners likely to ping, may get another dream run and will be running on late. The roughy!

#4 KINDLY Lacked early race pace in the heat last Wednesday. Did run on fairly in the race, but is unlikely to catch these inside runners. Faces tough task.

#5 MISS TITAN Was 2nd all the way in her heat. Ran 30.96 and will need every ounce of luck to even get into the placings here. Definately not for me.

#6 DAINTREE TEDDY Began well and was another who had a perfect race.Ran 30.72 from box 2. But has a wider draw here and there is plenty of pace on the inside. Is unlikely to cross and did weaken in the run I thought. Better conditions tonight may help. But needs to do to much here.

#7 MAX BAXTER Makes it to the final after weakening in the run home in the heat. Ran 2nd in a time of 30.72. Has had plenty of chances to break through and I don't see how he can break his maiden status in this race and from this draw.

#8 MOZZIE GALORE Will like this draw as he should get plenty of clear racing room early. Scored the fastest heat win in 30.38 so that must mean something. Did kick on in the final stages of the race, which is a good sign considering the conditions. Will stand a good chance. One of exotics.

Race 2 Grade 5 525m

#1 DYNA BATTISTA You can forgive last run at Sandown when ran last as a reserve from box 5 as was completly outlcassed. Raced quite well in a slow time at Cranbourne Monday as had to really use plenty of strength to push through in a bunching field at the bend. Does lack early pace and has a poor winning strike rate. Is third race this week and I think will really struggle once again. Especially based on recent efforts.
Overall: No.

#2 COSMIC CHIEF Looks a handy type and proved punters right at Geelong in July when won in a fantastic 25.66. Didn't begin that well last start over this track/dist mid-week. But when he was hitting his strides, he got severly checked. Had to re-start the motor and go right round the two who blocked him. Still ran 30.73. Might be a tad short in betting for my liking. But will be a big show.
Overall: One of the top chances.

#3 COCO HOKO POKO Fell last start. And normally those who have fallen last start (pending injuries) perform quite well at their next race start. I don't have any data on it, but from what i have seen it goes alright. Before that won at Bendigo over 545m in weak company and was odds on favourite. The time was 31.55. Which isn't something to boast about, and nor is his winning strike rate. I dont think he can lead here today.
Overall: Won't lead, so has no chance of winning.

#4 GUACAMOLE Is in a leading kennel (Darren McDonald) and really does charge home late. But always tends to find trouble. Raced really wide last start at Sandown, but still charged home for second in 30.22. Which is a stellar performance. Motored home at Cranbourne second last start in the straight to get third. But it's the start of the race that you have to worry about. If he is anywhere near them in the middle section, then he should win. And I think judging by the pace around that today will be his day.
Overall: The one to beat.

#9 (5) ZINGARELLA Has been racing over far shorter distances of late and will need to lead clearly to have any chance. Can ignore last start at Warragul as was pushed wide and hit a traffic jam on the bend. At Cranbourne on 10th August, showed nice early speed and race time was strong. Just seemed to lose footing a little in the straight.
Overall: Distance a huge query

#6 DAWN'S SPIRIT Got a dream run through the pack at Warrnambool last start from box 7 after a tardy getaway. Still didn't run the most exciting race as only went 25.84 in the run. Was a bit tardy in the finish at Geelong on the 14th August, but showed great early speed. Has only scored 3 career race wins and 457m seems to be about the right distance. Not quite sure how she will go here as could well lead the field, which will give her a great opportunity.
Overall: Take as your roughy of the race

#7 HEZA GAMBLE Has only placed 2/12 times from boxes 6-8 which is of concern. But has placed over this track and distance 3/5. Last run at Horsham was a bit disappointing as began quite well early but then just went backwards really quickly, only to get a rails run and finish off steadily in fourth. Disappointing, because the run previous to that at Traralgon charged home last from box 1 to finish second. I would have thought that Heza Gamble would race well with no pressure with being squashed against the rail, but the box stats seem to prove me wrong.
Overall: Place chance.

#8 MOLLY GRACE Another with a poor winning strike rate. Had a perfect race last start at Warrnambool running 25.85. Is a realiable beginner. Something that is pretty rare in this field. Has run 30.43 over this trip from box 3, when just run down by Kenny John. I would say we are going to see a similar story here with Guacamole running her down in the final 50m. Needs to lead here though.
Overall: Will run a cheeky race.

Selections: 4-2-8-7

This is a race in two for win. And the market will more than likely prove that opinion to be true.

Market:

#1 $15
#2 $4.5
#3 $26
#4 $3
#9 $21
#6 16
#7 $12
#8 $7.50

Race 3

#1 JOSHUA ALLEN Ran a strong 25.44 at Ballarat last start when began smartly and then just surged to the lead and ran away. Was a clean cut race and never looked in doubt. Previous to that, he was a little bit tardy in the beginning and was slightly held up on the rail. Ran 30.57 after a 5.14 first split, which is good for this track. Gets an inside draw, but will need to begin with these, as can't give them a start.
Overall: Well drawn and is strong type. Danger.

#2 MERGIM BALE Pinged the lids last start and ran a BOD 30.17 mid-week over this track/distance. Ran a smart placing at Geelong in 25.85 second last start finishing behind a smart type in Hayder Bale. Races well from the inside draws and enjoys this track with 7 starts for 3 wins and 2 seconds and a P.B of 30.08.
Overall: Has a strong run during the middle section of the race.

#3 BOOZEROO Is a Group 1 winner at Sandown when ran 29.74 back in June. Since then has been quite unlucky in her races. Including last start at Geelong (returning to Vic after Albion Park run) when squashed against the rails early. Ran home strongly and made a lot of ground off the leader who was untouched. That is a good sign. The bigger track should suit and has placed 2/2 times at track/dist.
Overall: Young gun who will be hard to beat

#4 WHISTLING DRIVE Kennel is in-form and with a P.B of 29.82 he is sure to be in the mix. Was out-classed last start and just completely stuffed the start. Did run home well, but that is expected as has been racing over longer distances lately. You really have to take a huge gamble here, as box 4, outside some speedy types, and needs to lead here to win. That's just too much of an ask for my liking.
Overall: Tough task.

#5 TALON BALE Hasn't run a race worth mentioning for quite some time and with a poor winning strike rate that doesn't boast well. This is a huge step-up in class too and it is likely to be too much.
Overall: Will be well beaten.

#6 TEQUILA LASS Was found to be injured last start when found huge trouble at Shep on 10th August when the runners in front fell. Given a 7 day stand-down period. Did win at Sandown in 30.29 second last start leading all the way, and one would think that she needs to do that today to have any chance. To cross this field will be too much to ask for, and with a railer on her outside that doesn't help either.
Overall: Out of luck.

#7 KANDY BALE Well I still believe that Kandy Bale needs the rail big-time to perform well. Had absolutely no luck last week from box 5 in Race 1 at this track/dist. Kept on trying despite getting pushed wide, knocked and blocked. They are good signs. And does have reasonable first split times at Sandown. Even though is boxed out-wide. I think Kandy Bale might find a nice pocket down on the rail and will be a smokey for the placings.
Overall: Place.

#8 MISS HOT SPECIAL Knows this track well with 17 starts here for 2 wins and 3 placings. P.B of 30.22 from box 1. Which is where she races best. Box 8 here is just far too tough. Her run at Shep two starts back though was quite impressive as she held off a normally fast finishing Kenny John. This race is far too classy though, if she drew the inside would be some sort of place chance. But not out-wide against this lot.
Overall: Wait until she draws inside boxes
